My name is (Y/N). Welcome to my diary, which I write in while I can. This is my book of...Well...Living nightmares.
Today, I had to clean more crap in this orphanage. My job was to dust every room. You might not think it's such a bad job. I bet you don't have 30 rooms, either.
This notebook was donated by somebody that lives in the neighborhood. She bought notebooks for each and every kid that lives here. There are thirty of us that are supposed to be here. If another kid gets sent here, it'll most likely be abandoned. Apparently, that makes people want to adopt children more.
Being my unlucky self, I'm a teenager. 14 years old, to be exact. So not many people would even look at my files. They'd go for the babies. But, I also got a bad start, being seven when I came here.
Today, my roommate that I snuck in, got adopted. Nobody noticed that she made number thirty-one. I'm glad she got to go to a home. She deserved it, being the cute, five-year-old that she is. Her name is Louise.
Anyways, I soon finished cleaning. It was about lunch time then, but I wasn't hungry. I decided to go back to my room and write more in my diary.
That is until the caretaker, Ms. Paula, knocked on my door. I sluggishly got up and answered it.
"(Y/N), why are you skipping lunch? I didn't see you at breakfast, either."
"I am not hungry, and I skipped breakfast to dust." I said with a stern face.
"Don't you sass me! I am practically your mother!"
"Oh, so you're going to give up on me, too, huh?"
"You'll never get adopted- especially with that attitude." She said as she closed the door and walked away.
Hmph. I sat back down on my bed. I knew that the only reason why I am not eating is because I want attention. That's all that I ask for.
I sat by the window and looked out of it. Some of the orphanage kids were playing on the sidewalk. Ms. Paula walked out and scolded them, causing them to walk back inside.
I sighed. Will I ever escape?
Just then, a car that looked more like a float parked in our small parking lot. There are four spaces there, excluding the fifth one that Ms. Paula's car stays in.
An older guy walked out of the vehicle, along with two kids, and an adult woman. They all walked into the orphanage, that was called "Happy Homes". This home was not happy.
A few minutes later, there was another knock on my door. It was probably Ms. Paula. Nope. I answered it, seeing Ms. Paula AND the people that I saw out the window. Ms. Paula had a surprised/mad expression on her face.
"(Y/N), it is sooo nice to see that you're getting adopted!" Ms. Paula said with a fake smile.
"Cool...I'll pack my bags..." I replied.
I went over to my closet and grabbed my suitcase. I packed all of my clothes and my diary. Then, I walked out with my new family.
Apparently, the old guy's name is Rick, the younger kid's name is Morty, the older kid's name is Summer, and the adult lady's name is Beth.
Morty, Summer, and I sat in the back of the vehicle. There were empty bottles everywhere, but I didn't care. I was with a new family!
Just then, the vehicle started to fly. Literally.
The family had neutral expressions on their faces, like they have done this many times before."Why is...the car flying?" I asked.
"I'll explain lat-EEE-r." Rick replied.
I was on the end, Summer in the middle, and Morty on the other end. I looked out the window to see the whole town below us. It was actually pretty nice!
Rick landed the flying car and we jumped out of it. Beth unlocked the house door and we all walked in...except for Rick. He went directly to the garage.
Morty, my new brother, led me to the couch. He gestured for me to sit down. I sat, while he flicked through channels.
A show that I wasn't very fond of came on. I have never seen or heard of it before...
Ball Fondlers
(A/N)
This is going to be a great book! I can...feel it? I don't even know.
Hopefully it becomes successful, unlike all of my books (Except for Adopted by NWTB).
Eh, that's it for now...
Peace Out ✌️
