I got out of my marketing class early and headed home on the train. My phone started to vibrate and I opened it to see I had a text. ‘Wait for me at the last stop. I’m coming for you. xxA’ I rode the train until the last stop was made and I walked out. I walked up the stairs with the crowd and I didn’t see Aston. It had been over half an hour since his text. He should have been here by now. I figured he got held up or something so I started walking. I heard someone calling my name and turned around to see Aston running after me, “Hey, hold on.” I stopped waiting for him to catch up with me. “Sorry I had to park the car, the cops said I couldn’t park here. Come on, I’ve got a surprise for you.” He took my hand, “Ast, where are we going?” “If I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret now would it?” he smiled as we walked to his car. He opened the door and I climbed inside. He shut my door and got in the other side. He started driving and after a little while he pulled along the highway. “Hold on,” he said reaching behind his seat. He pulled out a blindfold. “Time to put it on,” he smiled, “Don’t want to ruin the surprise.” I moved so he could put it around my eyes. After he blindfolded me we kept driving before he pulled into, I’m guessing, a driveway and he climbed out. He took my hand and lead my up some stairs and through a door. “Almost there babe,” he said holding me. I was walked into a room and Aston took the blindfold off and a dress was hanged up on the wall and heels were sat on the floor under it. “Put that on, and then to the rest of your surprise. No peaking.” He smiled and I smiled back, “Okay Ast.” I changed and then Aston walked back in putting the blindfold on me while I was turned around so I couldn’t see him. I walked through another door and out onto a ledge or something. I could smell the ocean like it was close. “Okay babe,” Aston undid the blindfold and I looked around me. He was standing there in a suit looking amazing. We were on the balcony of a room in a castle overlooking the ocean. “Oh my God. Aston. This is beautiful,” I said smiling. “Thought you’d like it babe,” he kissed my cheek, “This isn’t all though.” As he said it there was a knock at the door and in walked a chef with a big cart full of trays covered with lids. Aston walked me over to the table and pulled out my chair. “Thank you,” I said sitting down. “You’re welcome,” Aston replied. He sat down too and the chef sat down a tray in front of Aston and me. We opened our lids and steak and potatoes were staring back at us. As always, Aston had a bottle of ketchup sat out.lol. The waiter brought us a bottle of wine and Aston toasted to us, “Here’s to us babe on this amazing Valentine’s Day. And too many more.” We toasted our glasses and ate our food. Afterwards, Aston took my hand and lead me down to a ballroom. It was beautiful like the one in Beauty and the Beast, only real. There was a band sat up and they started to play as we walked in. “May I have this dance?” Aston asked holding out his hand. “Yes, you may,” I replied taking it. We started dancing to the music doing The Waltz. “I love you,” he said as we danced around. “I love you too,” I replied smiling. About fifteen minutes later the music stopped and Aston disappeared for a second. When he returned he had something in his hands behind his back. “Aston, what do you have?” I asked questioning him. “These,” he answered handing me a dozen red and white roses. “Awww Aston, they’re beautiful,” I replied holding them against me. “I almost forgot one more thing,” he said. He took my hand and the band started playing soft music. “Marina, I love you more than anything in the whole world. You mean everything to me. I don’t want to have to live without you.” I knew what was coming next. I couldn’t believe it. He got down on one knee and pulled a box out of his coat pocket. It was red and little. I started to tear up. “Will you make me the happiest guy alive and marry me?” He opened the box and a beautiful diamond ring was inside. “Yes Aston, I’ll marry you,” I threw my arms around him and he hugged me tight. “I’m glad you said yes,” he said and took the ring from the box slipping it onto my hand. “Me too,” I answered. He moved his hand towards the band and they started playing more. We danced for a little while longer then I got kind of tired. “Come on, I know what you need,” he answered scooping me up in his arms and carrying me out of the ballroom. “Oh yeah? What’s that?” I asked. “Me,” he answered smiling. “Meaning?” I asked. “You’ll see,” he replied winking, “You are,after all , going to be my wife now.” Aston called out for the chef, “In about twenty minutes, can we have another bottle of champagne, some chocolate covered strawberries, whip cream and chocolate sauce left outside our room?” “Yes sir,” the chef replied. “Thank you,” Aston said and we kept going and started walking up the stone staircase. “Were spending the night here Aston?” I asked as we made it to the top of the stairs and he opened the room door. “Yeah,” he answered, “I booked us for the next 5 days.” He walked us in and shut and locked the door behind us. <3
