Jake comes out the door. All eyes turn to him.

He shakes his head disappointedly as the tears fall.

'Am sorry Emily ' he says in pain. I run to him,hug him tightly. Then i whispered 'Its okay '

After that day things weren't the same, father became extremely quiet. He wasn't the same person. He wasn't the bubbly loving father. He didn't go to work.

Since mother's body wasn't found, we didn't do a funeral nor have a memorial service. Father and I couldn't believe she was gone.

2 years passed.

It was that sad routine daily until one day. I woke up to the smell of fresh food. 'Mhhh father's back ' i whispered.

I quickly slide the blanket to the side, run to the door, then down the stairs to the kitchen.

'Daddy ' i run to him hugging him from behind.

He smiles. Wow he smiled i haven't seen him smile in 2 years.

'Am so hungry. What are we having.' i say moving to the kitchen counter.

'No no young lady, you know the rules, go and get ready first' he said sweetly.

I did just that then we had a great big breakfast then he went to work. Then everything was fine we even had dinner with friends, finally I felt like our lives were back in order.

I woke up the next day to get ready for school, tomorrow is the first semester of the year. I feel a bit nervous.

Mother used to give me confidence lessons but I haven't felt confident ever since she disappeared.

I get ready for school then head downstairs, am about to enter the kitchen when i hear a knock on the door. I feel lazy to answer the door.

'Rosa, can you please get the door' I call out then enter the kitchen to find dad settled on his favorite chair on the breakfast table having breakfast and read a newspaper. I settle right next to him.

'Hurry up you are already later' he says.

Something is dropped near the door area.

'Dad , what was that? ' I ask. He shrugs.

'Ghost, ghost!' Rosa begins to yell. She screams. Dad and I run to her. While on the passage that leads to the living room we spot Rosa, cracked glass lays right in front of her feet. 'Rosa! You'll hurt yourself' i run to pull her as she is about to move forward.

Rosa points towards the door. What may be on the door that would make her so careless of her wellbeing. I turn to door. Am astonished. Father runs towards us. He follows our eyes carefully. Then he sees what has us all so astound. He gasps.
