MICHELLE’S LAST DAY….
Welcome to another edition of The Critics Corner. Today we will be looking at the horror movie genre as it has developed over the last 10 years, What scares us most? The things that go bump in the night? The unknown? The paramormal? Spooks and spectre’s and deamons in the world? Or is it all realitive to an over active imagination of our childhood fears? How about Dracula and the wolfman. Or Frankenstein’s monster? These are the things that scare us as children but as adults is it more? Demons, aliens and that which we can not see?
Giggles I think it’s everything to a degree. The unknown is a scary thought of itself. We hear the door creak but no one is there. We feel a sudden draft yet still no one is there. Life is good and evil, demons and angels. What scares us more? All of it I believe, like in this film called Them or in the movie The Manitou with Tony Curtis spirituality is a powerful thing and it can cause fear and peace. (shows film clips from both films)
You are right Michelle, smiling the thought of demons and paranormal run deep and in many places on earth in real life people have claimed to have such contact. I myself have not. But truth be told. I don’t want to nor do I condemn onyone who makes that claim because just because I haven’t seen it or experienced it doen’t mean it isn’t fact. Look at the movies The Exorcist, The Shinning, Amittyville Horror and The Omen are all movies relating to or circling around true events with the Paranormal or devils and demons. These are the films that scare me more than most anything else because it is heaven and hell. The good vs evil. I’m a strong believer in faith and prayer and films as these grab me because it is in the nature of our faith as a people and how strong it is. (shows clips from each film)
Then we have the ones that make fun of some of it all like Love At First Bite, where George Hamilton plays a very sexy Count Dracula kicked out of his Transylvanian castle that has been his home for over 700 years. He and Renfield played by Arte Johnson of Laugh-in fame are now living in modern day New York were he seeks out Susan Suntime played by Jane Curtin of Saturday Night Live fame and they have a very strange relationship but in the end she goes with him. It’s all tongue in cheek on the fears of Dracula and things that go bump in the night. The creatures of the night. (shows clips from Love At First Bite)
Overall, I would say that our horror film genre has come a long way in the last 10 years and I foresee some really scary surprises in the horror films of the future. On a scale of 1- 25 in this case, I’d give it a 25 easily with a high thumbs up.
I would tolally agree, it has come an extremely love way since theh days of Lon Chaney and Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff We are in for some really spine tingling treats. I’d always concur. A 25 and enthusiastic thumbs up. Smiling. (Michael didn’t notice the tears in her eyes, he didn’t look at her much at all anymore, it hurt his heart to do even that.)
As soon as the camera stopped rolling Michael stood up and said good night and happy Friday and fantastic weekend to everyone and left. He went straight to his car and left. Driving up the coast. He didn’t want to go home because even though it was only a night, he still felt Michelle everywhere and the last month without her has been horrible there so Santa Barbara for the weekend was his choice.
Michelle got up from her chair and slowly walked through the set telling everyone goodbye and then she went to her dressing room. Inside the dressing rom she looked around and realized that she had really already taken what she wanted home. The dressing room was sparse, drab and lonely. She had tears in her eyes as she picked up the last of her personal belongings, leaves the room and closes the door, Walking by Michael’s dressing room she pauses and says in a low voice even knowing he wasn’t there, I’m sorry Michael. For everything, I was wrong. You are a great guy and I am an unfeeling bitch to have hurt you as I did. I really do love you. Don’t know how or when it happened but…tears falling she walks away and hurries to her car and drives away. Michelle didn’t know that Sharon Campbell the production manager had heard it all. She felt so bad for them two now that she knew what was really happening with them. Michael is a good man and it wasn’t fair that he had been hurt so much in his life then another chance comes and they seem to have just missed the mark. Shaking her head she walks aways to continue her duties before going home.
MONDAY MORNING…..
Michael walks into the studio feeling fresh and renewed. He’s actually smiling a bit more readily. He walks into his dressing room and prepares for the show. Checking himself in the mirror once more, stealing himself, Michael walks out to the set area and sits in his usual chair. They are 15 min from taping and he is ready to go. Looking to his left, he sees Michelle isn’t there yet but knows she usually shows up 10 min before taping anyway.
Ronald: Michael? Walking onto the set with a woman walking next to him. Reaching to shake his hand. I’d like you to meet Patricia Parker.
Michael: Hello. Smiles shaes her hand. Nice to meet you. She does want to readily let go. Michael gently pulls his hand away.
Ronald; I want you to meet your new partner on the show.
Michael; his smile froze. New partner? Where’s Michelle?
Ronald; I let her go because you two couldn’t seem to get along remember I said a change had to happen? So Friday was her last day. Michael? Michael? Are you okay? Patricia will take over where Michelle left off. He smiles and says I’ll leave you two to get aquainted. He walks away.
PARTICIA’S POV…..
Oh damn this man is all wrapped up and licious in the finest of senses! I can see myself all poured over him like maple syrup. Sexy and put together in all the right places. I bet he tastes as good as he looks. I can see he’s at least 14” down there. I’ll ride that disco stick and tear that thing all up!! I’m wet just standing her looking at him. After the show, I’m going to ride him like a wild stallion, see if I don’t! I always get my way!! Licks her lips.
MICHAEL’S POV……
Michelle is gone? How could hat be? Why didn’t I see it? I love her! I want her back!! Sigh, now.. damn this woman is staring at me like she wants to devour me! It ain’t happening sister so you better ditch that thought. She’s beautiful but not my type at all. I can see by her eyes and attitude she is a playa and I am not into that new car smell. I want Michelle and I will do whatever I have to to make her see me. God. Lets just get this over so I can get he hell out of here! That woman touches me I’ll puke!!
Welcome to another episode of The Critics Corner with Michael Jackson and Patricia Parker.
Ladies and gentlemen tonights show we will be taking a look at Risky Business.with Tom Cruise. This film was Tom Cruises break out role opening the door for him to do Top Gun among others. He plays an averae teen who is struggling with teenage angst and sexuality. One of the most memorable moments in the film is when he dances in the foyer of his parents home in only a shirt and socks and underwear and sunglasses on (shows movie clip)
The thing about Risky Business is that Tom Cruise was an accomplished actor and when he did this movie it put him over the top in many ways but Top Gun as Goose he really showed his true skills.
CUT!!!! I’M OUT OF HERE!!!
Michael storms out. His one thought is getting to Michelle. He knew where she lived and Michael was going to get her back no matter what. Michael gets in his car and races off to Michelle’s house. His one thought is of Michelle and telling her everything. Telling her about Crystal and everything. He wanted to make sure that she knew it all. If he cried so be it but he was not walking away again without her knowing his true heart. Michael pulled up in front of her home and was relieved to see her car in the driveway.
