Contest 24 entry--Memories
GadSul and Ithildaeforever
A memory that totally would've happened with my uncles and aunts if my uncle had died in a war and not a MoPed crash.
Sorry for the super-short story.

Aria looked out at the glimmering white city in the distance, her star-filled eyes covered with a sheen of tears. Zeke stood on her side, Britt on the other. Neither had dry eyes."You know," Aria wiped her blurry vision away, "The only sad part about it is that he wasn't here to see it." Britt let out a choked half-laugh.
"Yeah," she agreed, "Mayhem would have loved this." Zeke only nodded, blinking to clear away his own tears, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Aria sniffled and watched the sunrise a little longer, then turned away. "Let's go, then," she said, and Britt nodded.
"We made it." Her blue-eyed gaze swept over the landscape. "He's out there, guys-" and here her eyes turned glassy- "Dancing."
"Watching us. Laughing in the city," Aria added, an image of their friend captured in her mind.
"Right there," Zeke pointed at the sun and Aria burst into tears as he spoke, "He's standing right there in that light."
