As my eyes met with yours I smiled knowing that someday you would do great things. But what I didn't see is that when you did those things I was not included. Every day you came by to tell me of your great adventures. One day I noticed best friend as my title faded to friend. I know your busy school is no place for a dog but please remember me. One time you forgot to feed me. I know you would rather leave me here in this cage. Do you remember when you loved me, when I was something that mattered. Probably not. You're still my everything. Yesterday you came home your eyes were blurry and pouring down with tears. You let me out and back into your heart. I miss days like that only you used to never cry. Today you found daddy's rope I thought we were going to play. You took it into your room. Where are you. You still haven't came out of your room.
