I'm just a girl,

Not meant to be seen,

Not meant to be taken seriously.

I'm just a girl,

All frills and giggles.

Supposed to wear pink

And polite to everyone.

Supposed to sit pretty and

Let the men do all the work.

I'm just a girl,

Not strong enough to bear my own struggles.

I'm just a girl,

My parents picture perfect doll.

Not supposed to have my own opinion.

I'm just a girl,

Not allowed to like black.

We're just girls,

Criticized and looked down upon,

Our only good feature our faces.

Apparently,

We're not allowed to be different

And we come in mass supply orders.

We're not supposed to have opinions,

because the guys are smart enough for both genders.

We're mainly known as trophy wives

and sluts,

and everything in between.

Shut our mouths,

be quiet,

and keep your opinion to yourselves.

Star this if you agree that sexism is getting out of hand.
