#4. Town of Neon

16 1 9

I drove further from the buzzing Town of Neon
Further to the outskirts of the said town
I watched the drizzling rain outside
As the smoke I exhale perished into the night sky

I hated the chilling atmosphere of solitude
And yet the only consolation I have
Is a box of cigarettes
And longing, I was longing for something

Days, dreamy days I had once
In the buzzing Town of Neon
Laughing, living carelessly
In one of those sparkling days

Not even the drizzling rain
Nor the street lights above the asphalt
That killed the twinkling stars
Could heal this lingering feeling of longing,
Longing for the Town of Neon
