Then below the 'you will be missed' was some symbol that was all over my house and all over my dads work colleges. I don't know what it meant. It was just everywhere and neither me or Austin were told why.

But now here I am. 4 months later. And the first day back at school. Coincidentally, the accident was just before Christmas, at the end of year, just before holidays. Now its February and I am about to start year 11. I checked myself over in the mirror. My school was one of the very few in my area that was casual dress. But it wasn't that bad since most people dressed fairly casual.

I put on a white skirt and a plain grey jumper. My long brown hair was straight and I just left it like that. I grabbed my bag and left my room. Downstairs I could hear whispers. I feared my head around the stairs to see my dad and some of his workmen. They all wore black. Like usual.

"They can't...they can't go around full of pride. Not like they are." My dads voice broke through.

"And they won't sir" Dan, my dads best friend and..college I guess said.

"They've taken my wife, my little Ivy-Lou, and they..they did that to her. My family is damaged. They won't go unjustified." Dad said, his voice breaking at the end.

"Dont worry, I'll make sure Ellie is okay." An unknown voice said.

I turned my head around the corner. What? That voice sounded young and vaguely familiar. I crouched down on the stairs. Some footsteps were leaving the kitchen.

No El, Forget about. Its the first day. Start fresh.

I took my deep breaths but stopped when I felt and a hand ruffling my hair. I looked up to see Oscar. He grabbed my hand pulling up and then pulled me into a hug. "Hey, you got this."He said. I nodded and walked behind him not the kitchen, interrupting the conversation between Dad and Dan.
