Arnav POV
I had shut my eyes to find some relief from this never ending pain. Ofcourse it was not easy to find relief in this small victory. Getting back to Sheesh Mahal was extremely important to find some sort of relief. But still I did not feel any different. This one act of throwing out my uncle from the same house which once belonged to me, brought me great pleasure. I am again its owner. However, the past remained the way it was. No ounce of relief.
I am sitting here in the midst of everyone who are now celebrating my victory. My new hotel, Sheesh Mahal where my fashion show is being held. AR Designs is now finally at the heights of success. And yet no sense of peace exists within me.
I took another deep breath. Suddenly the noises around me changed altogether. The clapping hands now were gossiping about something. I heard a lady behind me muttering that the theme is red but still she is wearing green.

This made me open my eyes and look at the stage. But what stood their was not something that I was prepared for. She took a few steps more worried, nervous, fear visible in her eyes and looking everywhere to find an exit. And then our eyes met briefly. She seemed embarrassed and tried to turn back. But alas, her Dupatta entangled with her heals somehow and she fell from the stage.

Watching her fall, something twisted inside me. Out of nowhere my hands raised themselves, while she landed in my arms safely. Blank...nothing..I felt nothing for a while. Few seconds passed and my eyes met hers. We were very close this time. Big hazel doe like eyes stared at me with fear. Feather-like lips trembling with fear. Milky white skin and her quivering form in my arms. I felt everything at once. A dam of emotions broke within me. Flashes, clicks and loud noises surrounded us. I realized she was trying to get down. So I let her go. But she quickly got down and ran away.
I called my security immediately and told them to not to let her leave. I have to talk to her. I have to sort out what happened a while ago. My heart started beating like crazy at the thought of her leaving me.

I walked to the room she was held in. And heard her pleading with my guards.
"Please listen to what I am trying to say. I came here by mistake. I had no intention to spoil this show. I have to go back urgently. Dont stop me please."
I signaled my guards to leave us alone.

She looked at me and I saw fear escalate on her face.
"Listen to me please. I had no idea that a show was being held here. I only came to meet Abhishekji. My Jeeji is getting married. And their in laws are asking for dowry all of a sudden. The papers are with me. Please I have to make sure that the wedding happens." She said in one breath.
"Shhhh. Relax. Drink some water." I took out the mini complimentary bottle of water that was lying in the pocket of my coat. She drank it all in one go like a baby.
"I have to go now, please." She pleaded again.
"And I will let you go in a minute. My name is Arnav Singh Raizada. And I just want your name in return. Then you can go. And my driver will drop you where-ever you desire to ok."
"My name is Khushi Kumari Gupta. Can I go now. I came in my scooter. And I will go back in that only. Thank you." With that Khushi ran out of the room.

Khushi POV
1 month later:-
Things have changed so much since the last time I met Arnavji. Payal Jeeji's wedding got cancelled. And we had to leave because in the neighborhood the taunts and talks were spreading like fire. Buaji suggested that Jeeji and I should move to Delhi with her. She was very kind to me though. When I came back that day from Sheesh Mahal Amma scolded me a lot. But Buaji and Babuji stood by my side. Buaji has always been nice to me. And even after the wedding fiasco she respected me for my concerns and care for Jeeji.

Strangely the one who helped me the most was Arnavji. When I reached Delhi he called me. I still dont know how he got my number. We kept in touch and spoke every day. And 2 days ago he offered me an interview in AR Designs for the post of his PA. I felt relieved now. I could help my family financially now.

Amanji took my interview. He is a very kind person. And finally after a waiting for 2 long hours...results were announced, I got selected. Yes!!!! Thank you Devi Maiyya. In my happiness I even offered Amanji some prasad that I took from the temple this morning before my interview.

Now it was time to sign the appointment letter. I felt weird. Even though we had spoken on the phone so many times, my stomach was doing flip flops. I am about to see him I thought. I knocked on his door. And he looked up.
Yet again our eyes met. But this time there was no fear or shock. Just happiness. Plain happiness.
"Khushi Kumari Gupta, be ready. You have to do alot of hardwork from now on. It is not easy being a PA of a person like me." Arnavji said with a smirk.
"Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada...same goes for you. Be prepared. It is not easy having a PA like me." I winked in return.
"We will see." Saying that he signed on my appointment letter and gestured me to do the same.

Arnav POV
6 months later:-
"So what. Are you her messenger or something. Aman go and tell her that if she needs a leave, then she should come and give me the reason for the same face to face. No need to be a coward and hide behind you." I stated.
Aman left my cabin in a hurry getting all scared by my wrath.

Hmmm any minute now. Tick tock tick tock tick tock....Come on Khushi Kumari Gupta. Where are you?
A loud noise echoed in my ears. My door was open and a fuming KKG stood holding the knob as if it was a weapon. Damn my fire breathing dragon. This fiesty chic will kill me one day.
"What do you mean by saying that I am a coward. You are very well aware that I need a leave. For a few weeks. We have discussed this already. Why are you acting so childish now Laad governer." She shouted in my ears.

I walked quickly to the door and shut it with one hand. And pulled her to me. My arms wrapped around her petite waist in reflex. And as usual she tried to free herself but failed.
"Are you done now." I asked in a bored tone.
"How dare you?" She muttered.
"How dare I? How dare you Khushi? Who gave you the right to leave me and go. We never discussed anything. A discussion involves 2 people. But as far as I remember you declared that you are leaving for Lucknow. And I wont allow that to happen. You are mine. All mine. Even if I fight with you..you are not allowed to leave me. I said no rituals for the wedding because I dont believe in them. But you never heard what I said afterwards. Khushi I was just explaining to Di how there will be no rituals, but then I also told her that there will be no such possibility since I am getting married to the Khushi Kumari Gupta. So rituals and customs have to happen. But you heard only half of it and left. And then you never answered my calls. On top of that you asked Aman to tell me about sanctioning your leave." I was all angry on her now.

She kept quiet and looked at the floor with keen interest now. I waited for her to digest the information. And slowly, painstaking slowly two soft arms came to rest on my chest as usual. I sighed deeply.
"I was so happy planning my wedding. All of a sudden I heard you and Di talking about the wedding in Shantivan that day. And I eavesdropped out of curiosity. I felt so hurt. Hearing you say all that. My plans of a dream wedding disappeared then. And I was in no mood to answer your calls then." She said with in a painful tone.
"Hey...Khushi...sweetheart dont be like that. Please it was a total misunderstanding. Do you know how restless I was since the past few days. Your absence from my life felt like a punch in my heart. I am sorry love. Now smile for me. I dont like to seeing you like this....all unhappy and sad." I asked her.

In return she smiled and finally hugged me tightly making me almost loose my balance.
"You should have apologized earlier. Because of you I felt so restless too. I even made 1000s of Jalebis. All your fault Laad governer." She muttered adorably.
"Oh really? What about your apology Jalebi Express. Try this Lucknow threat the next time....& I will drag you to the court for a legal marriage that very second. I love you Khushi Kumari Gupta...never test my love like that. Ever. You stupid crazy girl." I said harshly.
Her arms left the lapels of my coat and she held her ears and apologised.
"Sorry Arnavji. No threats from next time. Orelse you will really spoil my plans of a big fat Indian loud wedding. And I love you too." I glared at her response for a while.
"I know how to make up for our first fight." She used my own trick on me. Her rosy lips touched mine and I forgot all about Lucknow. This is all I wanted. To remain in her arms. Since the day she fell in these very arms.
