CHAPTER 8 AFTER THE GAME

After Taylor left everyone was silent. They just looked at me and then Whitney and then back at me and literally said nothing so I decided to break that silence.

"Guys I'm so sorry for this. I guess he followed us and then he went for some beers and then came back here drunk and ready to make a scene. I just want you to know that I am so sorry,really."

"Hey Lana, it is not your problem at all that he is an asshole. It was quite obvious that he wanted to argue with someone so he did with us. You shouldn't worry about that besides don't forget we are here for anything you want." Clark said.

"Yeah we are here to help you Lana". Alicia added.

"Guys you are so sweet thank you. You're literally the best friends I've ever had. Thank you."I said.

"Hey baby you deserve these kind of friends so don't thank anyone,we're lucky to have you in our lives." Whitney said.

"So what if we stop talking about that and discuss what actually happened on the game tonight." Clark said.

"Yes,that's right. You guys saw what Thompson did at the very end of the game?" Whitney asked.

"Yeah that was really risky. We could have lost the game if he hadn't scored that ball on time." Clark added.

"And you Kent were really good tonight. You played well and I think the coach saw it so he might put you on the team." Whitney said.

"Well I am not quite sure about that I was just replacing a guy that was sick. Besides I don't think if I have the time for this."

"You never know Kent."
"But you girls did really great tonight. And you Lana, you were amazing babe for your first time." Whitney said.

"Thanks Whitney, we had practised so hard for this one and Lana great job for your first time." Alicia said.

"Well thank you both for your sweet comments I hope next time it'll be better you know...without any 'surprises'. Oh god look at the time! I stayed more than I had to. I have to go I see you tomorrow".I said while looking to my watch.

"Here let me take you home." Whitney said.

"No,no it's OK. It's not that far. Besides you need to stay 'cause you have a long party in front of you." I said.

"Well I'm going home and I have the truck outside so if you want I can give you a lift. I know were you live and close to the farm so why not coming?" Clark offered.

My heart start immediately beating super fast.
"Are you sure? I mean it's not that far to walk and I don't want to bother you..."

"The truck is leaving in 5'." Clark said with a big smile on his face and left the café.

I walked through the door and followed Clark.
"Hey, I knew you would come, I'm so glad. Here let me take those stuff from the seat so you can sit." Clark said.

"Thanks Clark! Are you sure I don't bother you?"

"God Lana just get in the truck!"

We left the talon and we were both sitting in the truck without talking. I wanted to say something but I just couldn't figure out what exactly. And on the other hand I saw him so quite and kind of...nervous. That was so weird.

"So um it's in this corner right?" he asked me.
"Yup right over here turn left." I responded.

We entered the really narrow alley out of the road, in the woods where it was really dark and out of nowhere something came in front of us making Clark to get out of the road and crash.

"Lana? Can you hear me? Lana are you all right? I barely heard his voice. Everything was so blurry, I couldn't open my eyes.

I was stuck in the truck and I couldn't feel or move my legs. Suddenly my door was pulled off actually ripped off and a muscular figure pulled me out. I turned my head to see if Clark was there and surprisingly he wasn't.

I opened my eyes and I was laying in a hospitals bed,hearing the sound of my heart on that beep machine. My mom was sitting right next to me but sleeping at the moment.

I tried to remember what had happened but I just couldn't. All I remembered was going home with Clark and suddenly hitting on a tree. And I guy tipping off the door and pulling me out. And of course Clark nowhere.
I have a terrible headache and my right leg is in pain and as I can see it is broken. Awesome. Right now all I want to do is to go home and get some sleep...
