_______________The clouds outside thundered, sending a chill up Yoongi's spine.
He looked up from his cup of hot chocolate to outside the kitchen window.
A fierce gale raked the trees, accompanied by the ever present flashes of lighting and loud booms of thunder.
Yoongi sighed. Any second now and the rain was gonna start.
As if God heard his thoughts, Yoongi heard the patter patter of tiny raindrops on the roof of his summer house.
It was summer vacations, so Yoongi's parents had brought him to their summer house for a month. Yoongi had been looking forward to the trip for a whole year, and now, on the first day, all he got was a thunder storm. Unbelievable.
And they left me here too, he thought bitterly.
His mother's words from that morning rang in his ears.
It'll be for just a week, and we'll be back. I'm sorry for leaving you like this, honey, but the restaurant is having some issues.
She had ruffled his hair and then ran out the door where his father had been loading the car.
Stupid restaurant, thought Yoongi, setting comfortably on a couch in the living room.
He hated thunderstorms. He hated rain. He hated how weak it made him feel, like a little hamster.
He leaned back in the recliner, and closed his eyes, slowly stirring his cup. Pretty soon, he felt his mind drift off.....
BANG BANG BANG.
Yoongi's eyes tore open, his heart hammering like crazy.
He could've sworn he heard someone banging on the huge double doors just then.
Don't be silly, he thought to himself, who would be out there in this storm?
His heartbeat slowed down and he sighed in relief.
Probably just a sound in my drea-
BANG BANG BANG.
This time, Yoongi jumped straight out of the chair, his mug crashing to the floor and breaking apart.
W-who could it be?
Yoongi mentally revised all the deaths in Final Destination, if any of them involved rain, summer houses or huge double doors. Turns out, none of them did.
Be rational and go open the door, said a brave little voice in his head.
You're right, Yoongi thought determinately.
He hurried to his bedroom and took out a night robe he had gotten on his last birthday.
Wrapping the robe around himself and his pyjamas, the boy walked to the huge double doors and pulled them open.
Standing on the front step, was a boy around his age, drenched in the cold rain, with his teeth chattering like crazy.
'H-hi,' shivered the latter, 'Can I come in? I was camping and got lost.....'
Never let in strangers in your house, rang the warning in Yoongi's head.
He looked at the boy again.
'Come on in,' he stepped aside, leaving a welcoming way.
The stranger bowed in thanks, then stumbled inside. Yoongi closed and locked the doors after him.
