Clunk clunk clunk, crash.

Sadie and Thomas woke up in cold sweats. Upon looking around, they realized that they were in a small room, almost like an elevator. The room was moving upwards at an extremely fast speed. There were many boxes stacked up on top of each other all around the room.
Sadie stood up and tried to balance as the strange room moved and shook. Thomas tried to stand up too, but before he could get his footing all the way, the box jerked and he fell against a stack of boxes, hitting his head. The boxes fell and split open and random supplies flowed out. Sadie turned to look at the boy but did not recognize him. She walked over slowly as to not do the same thing and hit her head as well. She turned Thomas over and realized that he was out cold.
"Shit, shit shit shit," she yelled out, although no one could hear her. All of a sudden the box jolted and came to a stop. Sadie tumbled to the ground just as a bright light shined through the top of the box/room.
"Look you shanks there's two of 'em."
"Holy crap is that a girl?"
"That boy doesn't look so good."
Sadie looked up to see a gathering of boys standing over the box. Suddenly a rope was dropped down and Sadie was told to slide her foot into the knot. She looked over at the foreign boy and called out to the group overhead.
"Uhh, where am I? And uhh, that boy hit his head on one of the boxes..."
There was silence for a moment until someone began to speak. "No problem," called down a boy with blonde hair and brown eyes. "We'll get him up. But first we have to get you up." Sadie nodded and slid her foot into the rope as instructed. When she was pulled up she was greeted with dumbfounded looks from about fifty guys.
"Hi Greenie, I'm Newt," said the blond, shaking her hand.
Is that my name? Sadie wondered.
"So it seems that you're the only girl here, also that you've brought a friend."
Sadie looked around and realized that she was, in fact, the only girl. She also saw that she was in a weird forest with terrifying giant gray walls. Suddenly feeling scared and unsafe, she took off running full speed into the woods. She heard people yelling after her and running, telling her not to go past the walls. Sadie cut right and squatted behind a tree, tears streaming down her face. She tried to muffle the sounds of her sobbing as people ran past her, but a different blond, not Newt, spotted her and grabbed her arm. He pulled her up off the ground and looked into her eyes. "You're not the first to do that, and certainly won't be the last stupid shank to run. Don't think you're special just 'cuz you're a girl. We all do work, and you had better get used to it." Sadie got a weird feeling from that guy, and when he proceeded to push her against a tree, she felt even more unsafe.
"Gally! Don't do that you shank!" Newt said angrily, jogging to the scene. He moved Gally out of the way to make sure that Sadie was alright. "Are you ok?" He asked. Sadie nodded. "Alright let me help you get settled in here, don't worry, it gets easier. Maybe just try and stay away from Gally, he's not the most friendly." Gally had already walked away at that point.
Sadie nodded and began to walk next to Newt with her head down until they reached the grass clearing again.
"So since you're a girl and the rest of us are boys, you're gonna get your own room," Newt explained. Suddenly Sadie remembered her name.
"Sadie! My name is Sadie!" She yelled, a little too loud. Newt laughed a little and cheered her on.
"Good that!" Sadie looked at him strangely and Newt realized that she doesn't understand his lingo. "Sorry, good that just means like, ok or alright."
"'Scuse me comin' through!" Yelled someone tall and bulky, but not quite as tall as Newt. The boy along was carrying Thomas in his arms fireman style along with Gally while Thomas was still limp and unconscious.
"We don't know why he's still unconscious," explained the strong boy. "He must have really hit his head hard."
This worried Sadie, for even though she didn't know the boy, they obviously were connected somehow.
"Do you have any idea of how you know him?" Newt asked her. "Usually only one Greenie comes up at a time..."
Sadie shook her head no and looked down at the ground. "Alright then, Sadie, let's show you around." Newt then proceeded to take her into the dorms and show her to a room. There was only a makeshift bed on the floor and one change of clothes. The clothes were definitely not going to fit Sadie, for she was only 5'2 and the clothes were made for much taller boys.
"Sorry about the size of 'em, it's all we had."
"Thanks, much better than nothing," she murmured and closed the makeshift separation curtain behind Newt as he left to allow her to get changed and settled before the rest of the tour.
