Just random newspaper funny
That morning
Everything was calm and soothing as I let myself be consumed by the darkness, however my peace was interrupted by Gasters worried voice which sounded through the depths of my mind.
"Wake up, oh please wake up" The voice said as a hand was placed on my still hurting shoulder. I flinched before opening my eyes and gazing into the concerned silver ones above me. "Oh thank goodness, I was worried that you would never wake up" He said, relief washing over his features like a wave.
I give him a warm smile "Sorry, I was just really hungry" My voice was a bit dry from just waking up, but he could still make out what I said
He looked at me shocked for a moment before picking me up and placing me on the metal table."Of course you were, I'm so sorry, I should have remembered to feed you before I left" He immediately began shuffling through the drawers of his own desk, pulling out stacks upon stacks of paper in the process. "But how did you get out of the tank? The lid is normally sealed tightly before I leave, to make sure things like this don't happen"
"I used the momentum I got from pushing myself off the bottom of the container to jam my shoulder into the lid, which caused it to pop off" I said, rubbing my shoulder upon instinct. "And you don't need to eat yourself up about forgetting to feed me, I managed to get my own food"
Gasters eyebrows furrowed at my pun, but also curved up in question "What food?"
"Some of that stuff I saw Jason shove into his desk a few days ago. That reddish liquid stuff. The container should still be on the floor over by Jasons station, I forgot to clean it up" I pointed over to the desk and Gaster walked over. When he came back he was holding the empty bottle in one hand and his chin with the other.
"Did you eat this whole thing?" He asked looking at me with concerned eyes once again to which I replied with a simple nod "How are you feeling?"
"Okay, I'm not hungry anymore"
He nodded wrote a few things down on his iPad while muttering under his breath. "And, if you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you 'eat' this?"
"Well, I opened my mouth, isn't that what I'm supposed to do? Did I do something wrong?" I asked, beginning to feel worried at his constant shocked expressions
"No, no you did nothing wrong. Would you please show me?" He looked to me with a reassuring smile and I obliged, opening my mouth the same way I had last night. "Could you perhaps open a bit wider for me?" Nodding, I opened my mouth as wide as I could.
Gasters eyes widened in disbelief, his mouth slightly agar as well. "How do you have a tongue? That's not even supposed to be possible" he muttered to himself while rapidly writing notes down. "And all when I didn't believe you even could open your mouth. Of course its's my fault for not checking in the first place. But then again you've never opened your mouth when speaking, or maybe you have and I just didn't notice" he rambled
I closed my mouth, looking into Gasters eyes once again. I could almost see the gears working behind his gaze as he looked over his previous notes, tying to understand it all. Gina then walked in, her brother following silently beside her, and upon seeing Gasters confused gaze came right over to the metal table.
"Hey, G, what's going on? Did something happen?" she asked, placing a hand on his shoulder in comfort.
He looked up from his notes and began explaining what was going on. With every word her eyes seemed to grow larger and larger, until they looked so large I thought they'd pop right out of her head. I let out a small chuckle before turning away from the conversation because I'd already been through it myself. My pin pricks landed on Rick, Ginas brother. He looked like an exact replica of his sister, except a male version with shorter hair and a different body build. However something about him felt off, a different kind of off than when I first saw his sister, the vibe he had was almost menacing. During the whole conversation he just stood there, looking off into the distance so I couldn't even tell if he was listening or not. But that wasn't even the most disturbing part, every now and then, when Gaster would say something rather surprising (like the fact that I had a tongue) Rick would just glance at me with those dead brown eyes of his, causing a shiver to crawl down my spine. 'What's this guys problem? Heh, and I thought that after meeting Gina nothing could get under my skin'
