I woke up to sunlight pouring down on my face. Ughh...I must have left the curtains open yesterday night. I sat up on my bed and spread my arms in an attempt to stretch myself. After doing so for a few minutes, I decided to get out of bed and start bathing. I went to the bathroom and on the shower.
'Ahh this must be heaven' I thought to myself while taking my time in the shower. Once I was done, I got dressed and went to wake up Manako.
I started knocking on her door and asking her to wake up but as usual she doesn't hear me at all. I entered her room and saw her sleeping soundly, curling up like a ball in the middle of her bed. I sighed out loud and resist the urge to face palm myself on how she is still able to sleep and not caring whether or not she's late for school.
"Hey, wake up.. You're going to be late for school." I shook her body hoping that she will wake up.
"Mmhmm.. 5 more minutes.." She rolled away from my hand and ended up sleeping on her stomach.
God, waking her up has always been the hardest task in my morning routine. I snatched her blanket and threw it to the floor then proceeded to switch off the air conditioner.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!"
"Uhh waking you up for school..?" I rolled my eyes when Manako just stared at me like I'm a new type of bug or something. I walked over to her and flicked her forehead knowing fully well how much she hated it.
"Hurry up and get dressed. If you're not done in 5 minutes, I'm not giving you your lunch." I threatened. This shall teach her to not mess with me. I smirked when I saw how Manako perk up when I mentioned about food.
"5 minutes is too little. How about 10?" Manako started bargaining with me.
God, the nerve of this kid.
Since young, my parents have always spoiled us with gifts and candies but unlike Manako, I matured and became independent. So I guess its up to me to knock some sense into her head.
"8 minutes."
Manako pouted but got up and went to the bathroom. Fuhhh..mission accomplished. Now, time to go make those lunch boxes.
Time skip~
I walked Manako to her school before heading off to mine. I arrived earlier than expected so I decided to kill some time by going for a stroll around the school.
I was just passing by the gym where the basketball club was having their morning practice when I heard whispering from a group of girls nearby. Well I wouldn't actually call it whispering because they were being quite loud. Their discussion was so heated that the longer they talked, the louder their voices got.
"Hey, do you know about Prince Kakeru's newest merchandise?" said a blonde haired girl to the rest of her friends.
"OMG! Are you talking about the button badge set? It's not released here in Japan yet but it seems that you can pre-order it online." replied her friend who also happens to be blonde.
"Yeah, I pre-ordered one but its going to take months to arrive." whined another groupie.
Before the first girl could reply, the bell rang signalling that homeroom was about to start.
'Well, that was quite a stroll.' I thought to myself while walking back to class.
In class~
I walked towards my desk that was located near the window and sat down. As if on cue, my English teacher walks in. We were all confused by the teacher's arrival as we were supposed to have homeroom first.
