Why?

"Why?" Stephanie shouted at Sportacus when she heard the news, "How, how could you do this?"

"Stephanie, I don't know why you're so upset," Sportacus said, attempting to reason, "Its my life and my marriage."

"But it's my uncle's town and he says it's not allowed." Stephanie boasted.

"Well is that so," said a voice from behind Sportacus. He jumped and turned to see his lovely spouse, Robbie Rotten.

"If the mayor really said that then I guess we can just go ask him." He said, smirking.

Stephanie was frozen.

Before she could say a word, Robbie and Sportacus were on their way to the mayor'a house. They knocked on the door. Mayor Meanswell answered with a beam on his face, "Hello, Robbie and Sportacus."

"Hello, Mr. Mayor," Sportacus said, "Is it true that you won't allow Robbie and me to adopt a child?" He said with a serious face.

"What?!" He exclaimed, shocked, "Well of course not!"

"Good," Robbie stepped in, "Because that brat of yours, Stephacook, was saying you say otherwise. But, now that we know the truth, my mind is at rest."

Stephanie was visible in between Robbie and Sportacus with a shameful look on her face. "I'm sorry, uncle." She said.

Mayor Meanswell was a laid back guy so he didn't think much of it.

"You know, Stephanie," Sportacus said with a disappointed look on his face, "you're really staring to sound like Stingy." And with that he walked away, Robbie following him.

Stephanie was heartbroken.
