The x-men responded to a distress call from the state governor, he was concerned about the town of lake side reason was he received no communication from them for three days so in response he send in the state troopers to investigate but they haven't returned. So the team consisted of cyclops,storm, and of course wolverine they decided to head for the location they were last seen but sadly they came across they're dismembered corpses scattered around the forest, "who could of done this." Storm said with a fearful tone then cyclops touched her by the shoulder and said "whoever it was they don't take kindly to outsiders especially humans." Wolverine walked toward the disfigured bloody corpse then said "they're not far, we should follow the the trail before it gets cold." With no time to waste they ran toward the location of the blood thirsty mutant, but then suddenly storm and cyclops were attacked by a pack of wolves clearly this was intentional to separate wolverine and his team. But out of nowhere wolverine was tackled from behind then fell at the frozen floor of the lake that was surrounded by tall green trees, wolverine looked behind him he saw the mutant who caused this slaughter, sif the wolf prince said "how can you protect these bastards when you know they're just using you to clean up the mess." But Logan who immediately understood his reasons but not his methods. "And you think slaughtering innocent people will change this." Logan said with an angry tone of voice but sif grew annoyed "innocent? In this world nobody is innocent we are all monsters." Sif grew his freezing claws then he let's out a howl of rage, "then I guess we have nothing more to talk about." Logan attacked sif with his adamantium claws, sif couldn't pierce Logan's skin and he couldn't regenerate fast enough "ready to give up?" Logan said while trying to catch his breath but sif grabbed two bottle shards and said "why can't you get it through your thick skull? We are here because of them!!" Sif said with a furious tone but before he could react Logan stabbed sif in the heart with his adamantium claws but before he could die he said. "I want to ask you a favor, if you don't mind?" Sif said weakly then Logan replied "sure what is it?" He was amazed by the response his adversary made "make sure no one hurts my pack." Sif said at the same time cried with blood, Logan said "I will." When he died all wolves let out a wide open howl to let everyone know they were mourning for the loss of their leader. Cyclops and storm approached Logan and asked "well, what happened?" Logan walked away slowly then paused for a moment but he simply said "the death of a proud mutant is what happened."
