Today was Saturday. No school, just a fun time alone in your house with your TV and food. You sat down and turned on the TV.
"Tk-BZZT"
You strangely loved the high frequency sound the old TV made. You began to watch some Japanese TV channel until you started to feel quite lonely.
When you talked to Kakyoin the day prior, that was the most communication you had in a while. You missed it. Before you knew it, you were on your bike trying to find where he lived. You scanned the last name plaques on the house gates until you found Kakyoin's. You really wanted to talk again. He had a pleasant aura that made you want to be around him.
"Ding!"
You hesitantly pressed the door bell.
"Hello, is this the Kakyoi-"
"_____?" Came out of the speaker.
"E-eh, yeah," you responded sheepishly.
"Hold on, I'll be right out," Kakyoin said.
You waited for a few moments until you saw him come out to open the gate in casual clothes, smiling. "What's up?" He asked politely.
"K-kaky-"
"Just call me Noriaki."
"Well, after yesterday, I just wanted to thank you for helping me out. I wasn't really sure what I was doing, I could have gotten mugged if it weren't for you," you responded.
"No problem, I just felt compelled to help. I couldn't leave anyone like that, especially you."
You weren't sure what he meant by that, but he ushered you inside.
"Do you like video games, ____?"
Your face lit up with joy.
"I love them! I have an Atari."
"Cool, do you wanna play this racing game I have?"
And with that, he handed you the controller and you say down on the couch playing for quite a while. You talked about numerous things while focusing on the game, and he shared things with you too. But while you were playing, you could see him glance at you occasionally out of the corner of your eye.
Your cheeks tinted pink every time it happened, but you were still happy to feel kinda close with someone.
"Noriyaki," you started. It made him blush a bit when you said his first name.
"Do you live alone too?"
"No, my parents are just on a business trip. It's nice to not have to listen to nagging though."
"Do you feel lonely sometimes?"
"I do, but when that happens, I usually go distract myself with TV or video games or something. What about you? I know you live alone."
Your breath hitched because you didn't want to lie but you also didn't want to come off as rude. You never got lonely and would even sometimes turn down plans with friends because you hated talking so much. You enjoyed every second living alone.
"I don't want to be rude, but I won't lie either," you began. Kakyoin put down the controller and looked at you attentively.
"I never get lonely. Until today, I've never felt lonely at all. I enjoy living alone and not having many friends, and I think that sometimes I could even live without human interaction. But when I talked to you yesterday, I felt like we got along pretty well and I felt like I was missing out on fun if I just stayed home all of today."
Kakyoin gave you a goofy smile and said "Well, you're never having another day alone because I'm going to introduce you to my friends. You're cool enough."
You shuddered at the thought of meeting new people but just acted like it was no big deal.
"You're friends with Jotaro Kujo, right? He scares me..."
"It's ok. He's not as bad when you get to know him, I promise," Kakyoin chucked.
"Great, now I'll actually have other things to do other than falling asleep outside and coming home alone after school."
Kakyoin looked at you sympathetically.
"You can come over everyday after school, if you really want."
You were delighted to know this, and you looked forward to meeting his friends.
