Silent love (A poem)
Part1
The day I first opened my eyes,
I saw darkness.
I asked why,
You replied with silence.
The day I first cried,
I saw happiness in your eyes.
I asked why,
You coaxed me.
The day I first walked,
I saw hopes in your eyes.
I fell,
You ignored.
The day I first learned to read and write,
I saw encouragement in your eyes.
I loathed learning and asked why,
You said it's for future.
The day I grew up and succeed in life,
I saw pride in your eyes.
I asked why,
You said I am on my own.
The day you grew old,
I saw sadness in your eyes.
I asked why,
You said you loved me.
The day you were sick,
I saw helplessness in your eyes.
I asked why,
You asked me to leave.
The day you died,
I saw peace in your eyes.
I asked why,
You replied me with silence.

Part 2
The day you were born,
My eyes filled with happiness for the birth of yours.
I hear you brawl,
I coaxed you.
The day you first walked,
My eyes filled with hope.
You fell, but I ignored you,
Because I wanted you to stand up on your own.
The day you first learned to read and write,
My eyes filled with encouragement.
You loathed learning, but I forced you.
Because it's for your future.
The day you grew up and succeed in your life,
My eyes filled with pride.
You asked why, I said you were on your own,
Because I had given you everything.
The day my hair turns grey and wizened,
My eyes filled with sadness.
You asked why, I said I love you,
Because I am afraid to lose you.
The day when I was sick,
My eyes filled with helplessness.
You asked why, I asked you to leave,
Because I don't want to be your burden.
The day I closed my eyes,
I see darkness, but heard your voice.
You asked why, I replied with silence,
Because I can't answer you.

For all the love, I thank you. Love is not asking from others, but is giving of oneself.
There's one thing I believed.
When one has weathered through all the suffering,
blessing may ensure.
When one enjoyed all the blessing,
misfortune may turn up.
