"Honey, you're coming to dinner tonight, right?" Dad asks me over the phone as I get ready for work "you're meeting Nat and her family for the first time, they're so excited to finally meet you. I mean, I have been with Nat for just over a year and you've still been too busy to meet her"

"Sure dad, no problem. I already told you I'd come. Jamie can't make it because he has work tonight." I say

"Good, because I didn't really want him to come. He's not right for you Kath. I just know he's no good" he says

"Well, I love him and I'm happy with him" I lie.

Truth be told, I'm not that happy with Jamie. I know something's up when he always tries to get out of family things with his excuses.

"You sure honey?"

"Of course, anyway dad. I have to go now, I'll see you later at seven" I say

"Alright, I love you. See you later"

"Love you too dad. Bye"

With that, I hang up and head to work.

Work finishes and I head home.

Jamie is there when I get back and he is lounging around on the sofa.

"Hey baby" he says

"Hey, aren't you meant to be at work?" I ask

"Yeah, in two hours... I've got time" he says and walks over to me, pulling me to him "you want to fuck really quick before I head off?"

I push him away "Jamie, I can't. I have to get ready and leave in an hour. Maybe when I get back"

He pouts at me and I roll my eyes before going to get ready.

Once ready, I call for a cab and then head out, leaving Jamie on his own.

I finally arrive at my dad's place, I pay the driver and head out of the cab and to the door.

I knock and the door opens.

The face I see as the door opens isn't my father. It is a very good-looking guy. He looks about the same age as myself.

"May I help you?" He asks me

"Uh... I'm Kathy. This is my-"

"Kath!" Dad is at the door then "you made it!"

"Hi dad... I guess I did" I say

The guy who opened the door looks at us, wide eyed.

"Oh..." Dad says "Derek, this is my daughter, Katherine. Kathy, this is Derek, Nat's youngest brother"

I turn to Derek "it's nice to meet you"

He composes himself and smirks "likewise" he shakes my outstretched hand and turns it over, kissing the top of my hand.

Dad pulls me inside and we enter the front room.

My eyes widen as I see Chris sitting there and his eyes widen also.

His brother sits with him.

"Everyone, this is Kathy... My daughter" dad says

"It's lovely to meet you finally Kathy" a woman walks over to me and pulls me into a hug "I'm Nat"

"Oh, you're his girlfriend?" I ask, gesturing over to dad

"Yep, that's me. This is Jason, my younger brother" she points at a pretty good-looking guy "and this is the youngest brother, Derek" she points at Derek, who I'd obviously met at the door
