I look at myself in the mirror one last time making sure nothing is out of its place. "Time to party y/n" I say out loud to myself, while walking towards the door. "You look lovely Miss!" Gary says while opening the door to the car and letting me in. "Thanks G!" I said while going in the car and checking my phone. "Excited for tonight Miss?" Gerald says while driving away from my house. "I don't know G, I have a feeling that tonight's going to be different." "Different?" Gerald says while peeking at me through the rear view mirror. "Yeah, different" I say while smiling and going back to my phone. I was on my way to a masquerade party, not by choice mind you, but still. A couple of my friends were invited and that means that I have to tag along as well.
When I entered the building, cameras were immediately flashing and I tried my best to keep my eyes open. Then I felt two people come up beside me and pose as well. "Bella, Hailey, what a nice surprise." I say while walking towards the bar. "Haha Y/N, you look great by the way" Bella says while looking out towards the dance floor. "How did you even know it was me?" I said while sipping on my champagne. "It's not that hard Y/N/N, firstly you showed up late and you're in the dress we picked out together" Hailey stated.
"Ok, you got me there. So I'm going to go dance now, feel free to join me at any time!" I say while winking at them and walking towards the dance floor. As soon as I walk up to the floor, my eyes immediately focus on a brunette dancing by herself in the middle of the dance floor.
I walk up to her and put my arms around her waist from behind and begin swaying my hips with hers. "I saw you by yourself and couldn't help myself" I said into her ear, still dancing. "I'm glad you came then mysterious stranger" she said while laughing and turning around so her arms were now around my neck. "I love this" she said while smiling. I tilted my head, " and why is that?" "Because, You and I have a connection but we don't even know what each other looks like" she said while moving her hands towards my mask playing with the detailing on the bottom. "That's true, but I would really like to know what you look like" I said pulling her closer. "I guess you'll have to wait to find that out!" She said while moving away from me. "Wait! Where are you going?" I said chasing after her but lost her in the crowd. Then I saw her leaving, she winked and left.
I sighed outwardly and went back to find Hailey and Bella. "So, who was that girl?" Bella asked leaning on the bar. "I don't know." I said looking at the door she walked through. "You don't know? How do you not know?" Hailey said. "She said she loved how mysterious this was, then she left. I don't think I've ever seen eyes like hers before." I said looking at them. "You what that means right?" Hailey says to the both of us. "We need to find her" Bella finished and looked at me with determination.
