the car was icky now that the road trip was over. it wasn't much of a road trip as a "hey i've waited 3 years to see the moon cover the sun and be left in the dark for like a few seconds." but hey, sacrifices get made.

the sun barely reached the sky when i arrived, the sun rising and touching the horizon line. the peace was good for awhile, the birds fluttering and tweeting while i was on the roof of my car, snuggled in fluffy blankets. however, when cars pulled in it was disrupted.

the voices of people calling names and setting up telescopes or snacks filled my ears. young and old gathered, from the age of 3 to 85. it was like a community, a home. it didn't stop me missing my true home though.

"only a few more hours till my life changes" i whisper.
