I'm not very good at writing stories or putting what's in my mind on to words, but I guess I'll try with this one. I'll just hope that someone enjoys it.

Chapter 1

'Scarlett sit up straight when you're eating!' My grandfather was a man of few words, but the rare moments he did open his mouth was usually to shout at you or to correct you, and in this case both. My cousin Ben found it the appropriate moment to then snicker at me, while our grandfather looked away. I was extremely tempted to then smash the untouched medium rare steak on to his smirking face, but I controlled myself not wanting to get another 2 hour lecture on how ladies must behave. 'And Benjamin stop snickering at your sister, and act your age, the heir of Bianchi empire does not snicker!' This time it was my turn to snicker at Ben, while he plastered an annoyed scowl on his face.

Even though technically speaking me and Ben were in fact cousins, we were raised as siblings as we both lost our parents at a young age. We've both been raised by our grandfather since I was 6 and Ben 8, well if you count your grandfather's many maids babysitting us, then yes I guess we were raised by our grandfather.

Today was one of the few rare occasions in which our grandfather actually sat down and ate with us. 'where are you going?' he didn't look up this time he kept his eyes on the steak while he cut it with grace, while both me and Ben were trying to discreetly escape this awkward situation. 'just uncle Paul's house papa, I just wanted to go over my final year project with James, and Scarlett and Sebastian wanted to go over our old notes.' The simple lie came out almost too easily for Ben. 'Hmmm, ok,' we didn't wait for further reassurance, as we quietly but quickly made our way out of the large dinning area.

As we entered into Ben's Lamborghini, I spotted two men in black suits getting into a bmw, slightly behind us. It used to be hard to spot our grandfather's spies, they were everywhere but invisible. Even though Alfred Bianchi was never physically with us growing up, we could never even lift a finger without our grandfather finding out. After 14 years of practise it may be easier to spot them, but they're still impossible to get rid of. 'Ignore them Scarlett, you glaring at them isn't going to make them suddenly disappear.' 'I know but, this isn't how normal people live, normal people don't have to be put under surveillance 24/7, and normal people don't have to be scared out of their minds to make a mistake.'

'Well we're not exactly what you call normal are we?' I signed in frustration 'I know but...'

'Look I know it's hard for you to even breath right now, but just put up with it a couple more years until I take over ok.'

I'm not quit sure how Ben turned out to be so optimistic and care free in a word like ours, but I'm glad there's someone to keep me from going completely insane.

'Jamie! Seb!'

'Stop screaming you uneducated whore, we follow proper rules in this house, or did your low life of a father not teach you these things.' The witch decided to come out of her cave sooner than we thought.

'F*** of Bernadette where's Jamie and Seb.' Ben decided to come to my rescue. If it were anyone else I would have smashed their head against the wall for talking about my father like that. But honestly I just think James and Sebastian's bitch of a stepmother, is just completely lonely and depressed.

After she seduced our uncle Paul Romano, and kicked our Aunt out of the house, she realised that she was unable to conceive children, and therefore never truly get her hands on the Romano fortune. After a few years uncle Paul got bored of her and threw himself into work, and everyone else pretty much hates her.

I completely ignored her as she continued to shout insults at both me and Ben, as I graced may way over to Jamie's room. Attention seekers just want attention and I'm not about to give that to her.
