The life of an autistic teenager, isn't an easy one.
For me it all started when I was in year 5 (10 years of age), although it is a condition you are born with. This is the time I felt it affected me, suddenly, I went from this easy going child, who could deal with day to day life; to someone who couldn't understand jokes very well, and could be very emotionally unstable at times.
For those of you who don't know or understand what autism is, it's a life long, developmental disability, which can present it self in a number of ways and can be mild to severe (on a spectrum). This can affect how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them.
