Sighing quietly to myself I stared at the dark forest. "I just wish she would let me out at night.. the forest is so pretty." I said to no one in particular.
Gasping as I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned around quickly, relieved it was only my personal guard.
But what he told me was not relieving at all.

Adara's POV:
Sitting in my room I mindlessly played with my Fire, however something was off about it. It seemed hotter and harder to control. Thinking to myself, I thought I had come to a conclusion when I heard frantic knocking on my window.
Confused I walked over and opened it only to see Selene, Daughter of the Shadow element.
Looking around I see Rain, who people think is my enemy because of our elements, but she is actually one of my best friends.
I don't see anybody else. "Whats going on you two!?" I whisper shouted.
A speck of glowing green catches my eye before they could answer, quickly I lit up a fireball in my hand warily but it was slowly draining my energy... How? What's happening to me..?
I was relieved when I saw my other best friend Ivy. However confused when I saw her blank yet sad expression.
"Adara where is your mother?" My gaze shifted towards Selene, shrugging slightly. "I haven't seen her since this morni-" Realization had hit me as to why they were all here and why I feel so weak. An alarmed spark went off in my eyes and the others knew I had caught on to what was happening.
Our mothers had disappeared for a reason, there was no way our parents would let us out at night. Well other than Selene but that's understandable. Our own mothers ventured out into the forest.... before they could teach us how to master our powers.
Their spells helped us control them, but now that they're gone?
Sitting in the bright red carpet of my bedroom none of us spoke or moved, we just sat there.
Shaking my head I sighed. "We have to do something..."
"We have to save them!" Rain finally spoke up. She has always been the quieter one of the group so it was a bit of a shock for us all to see her this way.
Shrugging her shoulders Ivy looked over to Rain. "How? We don't even know where they went, Rain."
Selene stared at the two, shaking her head "Has anyone here forgotten I track people for a living..." She said as she watched the two quietly.
Balling my fists I turned around quickly. "I know we are all upset but this isn't the time to argue!" I snapped at them as they all looked at the carpet, silently agreeing.
Mumbling 'Sorry' to each other they all quickly went to discussing a plan to find and retrieve their mothers.
"Selene your job will be to track them down, do whatever it costs." I spoke with a determined look in my eyes. "Ivy, speak with the animals of the forest and see if they know anything." She nodded slightly before leaving the mini conference room we had put together. Looking over at Rain I stared at her briefly.
"Rain, to get to your castle you have to create a staircase of water correct?" Nodding slightly she stared at me confused "Yeah?" She spoke softly. "Rain, go to your castle and try to sense your mothers magic power, it might gives us more hints as to where they are.." Nodding quietly she went to leave our 'conference room' being my bedroom.
She blinked her light blue eyes. "What are you going to do, Adara?" Staring at my best friend for a moment I shrugged. "Whatever I can do to help find our mothers." I spoke confidently, however I was fearful that we wouldn't find our mothers. But I had to stay confident, I couldn't lose hope.. not around them at least.
When Rain left I sighed, a few tears falling down to the floor as I lifted my head up. "I'll find you Mom... I have to find you... and the other girls mothers too... Wherever you are, I hope you hear me.." I spoke softly as I got up from my chair and pushed open the doors, starting the search.
