Welcome to my book, today I will be tackling a very controversial subject. Abortion.
Abortion: The act of terminating an unborn child
The most dominant sides are Pro Life and Pro choice. Pro life believes that the fetus should not be aborted as it is basically like murder whereas Pro choice believes that the mother should have to choice to abort it or not.
First the fetus may have a disability that will disable it for all its life so comes the question, why not put it out of its misery now? That can be combated with the Pro Life side of are we only producing "perfect children "? . Are we stopping a potentially very important person from being born?
Pro life can also argue that all life is precious and we should not waste it ever. And some religions and cultures believe that the mother should carry it to birth even if it kills her. The child will be raised knowing that their mother sacrifices her life for him/her. The other side of that is what if the child blames itself for "killing" the mother and develops phycological issues. Another Pro choice arguable fact is if the child is a product of a horrible experience the mother had, could it disable her from being a good mother because the child will remind her of that horrible experience and maybe she doesn't have to resources to care for one . Maybe the mother will even resent them. Although abortions can be dangerous, in some countries people don't have the means necessary to have a safe abortion and the mother and baby can die.Pro choice believes that the mother should make the choice. Pro life argues that life is precious and should be cherished.

My opinion:
I believe in pro choice . I also believe in other options. Maybe adoption? Pro choice offers so many options to fit the circumstances and I think it makes it easier for the mom. If you make your own decision it is less likely that you question it. Personally I couldn't bear to kill a child so I would probably put it up for adoption.
