Jungkook hadn't had an opportunity to explore the town yet, so at least today he'd see somewhere other than the school for once. He'd never been in an open roofed car before, and the feeling of the wind flying through his hair sent a rush of exhilaration through him. Jimin had music blasting through the speakers and Taehyung was jamming out enthusiastically, waving his arms around and singing along. Jungkook leant forward and raised his voice so they could hear him above the wind.

"it's the middle of November and pretty cold, why do we have the roof down?"

Jimin turned and smirked at him, his cheeks were rosy and he looked cold in his red flannel shirt, his jacket was lying on the back seat next to Jungkook, who mentally questioned why he hadn't worn it in the first place.

"for the aesthetic, duh." he said, as if it was obvious, before turning back to the road. Taehyung stopped dancing for a moment, and turned to Jungkook.

"is this your first time like, going out since you moved here?"

"yep, you guys have to show me the best food places."

Taehyungs eye widened and he turned to Jimin, adopting a puppy eyed look, "please can we go to the pancake house?" Jimin threw a side glance at Taehyung.

"Yoongi would kill me. do you know how much sugar is in those things? nasty"

"who cares? they taste good, and I'm hardly gonna get fat from a few pancakes." he slouched backwards and poked his stomach.

"maybe. but we should eat actual food first. Jungkook have you eaten?"

"nope."

"we'll get pizza then when we get there, then we can shop, and maybe get pancakes before we leave." he put emphasis on the maybe, but Taehyung seemed satisfied with the answer.

"yay! thanks Chim i love you!" Taehyung laughed loudly, the sound brought a smile to Jungkooks lips.

when they entered the mall, Jungkook had to stop himself gaping as he took in his surroundings. the ceiling was higher than any ceiling he'd ever seen before, the floor was polished marble and as he looked around, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to afford the litter on the ground of the place, it was so lavish and opulent looking.

"like it?" Jimin asked slinging his arms around the two of them.

"it looks really expensive..." Jungkook swallowed, suddenly feeling embarrassed. Taehyung and Jimin could probably afford these shops.

"don't worry Kookie, it's not as expensive as it looks. and anyway, lunch is on Jimin." he winked and skipped ahead. Jimin called out an indignant "hey!" and went after the other, playfully punching his arm. Jungkook jogged after them and told himself to relax, they were his friends and they didn't care if he could afford anything or not.

they found a pizza place and sat down at a circle table so "no one would feel left out" as Jimin had put it, and a waitress came over to take their order, she threw a wink at Taehyung before hurrying away. Taehyung blushed and Jimin let out a wolf whistle, nudging Taehyungs shoulder with his own. Jungkook did the same, despite the uncomfortable feeling he had in his stomach. their pizza was brought over and the three boys dived into it ravenously, as if they hadn't eaten for days.

"this is way better than the food my mom cooks." Jimin said between mouthfuls

"yeah her cooking sucks." Taehyung added. Jungkook was surprised at the statement, he would never talk about another persons parent like that. Jimin seemed to pick up on his shock, and quickly jumped in.
