"We are moving " That was the sentence that turned my whole life upside down. I lived my entire life in
London  and could not imagine moving anywhere else, but recently my parents decided to expand their business in California, a small town in Pennsylvania. I had to leave my only friend Mia there. I didn't have many friends because most of the people I know are fake.

"Megan!!!"Luke yelled. "We are there. I tried to get your attention for 5 minutes now". "Sorry, it's just hard for me to focus lately". He sighed "I know things haven't been easy for you with the sudden move but everything's gonna be alright. Could you please give California a chance? For me? Please?" I gave him a light smile." I'll try but I can't promise anything " He nodded and drove through the gate. I got out of the car to exam my new house.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" I pointed at the house. "Your new home". "That's not what Mom and I agreed on. I wanted a simple house not a freaking mansion. Was she even listening when I talked to her ." It's just for you safety " Luke said, trying to calm me down.

He then escorted me inside the mansion and tried to cheer me up.
"It's not even that huge, Megan. It has a receiving area, 6 bedrooms, a music room, a gym, a theatre room, a gorgeous kitchen, a huge garage and most especially it has a mini bar near your indoor swimming pool. Also it has a beautiful outdoor area with maze garden and a gazebo near a man made lake. He said chuckling.

"Your so funny Luke that I forgot to laugh. Can you just bring me to my room. I said exhausted, rubbing my eyes.

"Of course" He said in a fake British accent. He led me to my room on the second floor and opened my door for me.

Your bathroom is on the left side. Good night, Megan, sweet dreams.

"Good night, Luke." I climbed on my Queen sized bed and laid down.

"At least it's comfy" I thought to myself.

I hope Mom is coming home soon. I already miss her. Then I drifted into sleep.
