Renesmee's Jacob 4
People talk about the bright lights of Vegas and I will have to take their word for it. The lights were a blur after we were married by "Elvis" then rushed over to "Circus Circus".
"Circus Circus, Jake? Couldn't find anything more...you know...adult?" I looked around and saw parents with kids in tow and Teens running around upstairs. I saw a group of girls leaning over the railing, one of them had breasts about to spill out of her top, and they were pointing at my Jake. Of course, he never saw them. Take that ladies! Though I had seen the girls, I had not seen the boys. It wasn't until I heard a slight growl in Jacob's voice that I turned around and saw 2 boys headed in our direction. Seth and Embry. Damn it. Alice didn't know where we were, but the pack could find us anywhere.
"Nessie, I though we would be safe in the "circus" but our lives will always be a bit of a freak show. Let me handle this." He spoke the last looking over me at the extra wolves we now had on hand.
"I don't know why you came but you guys just need to back off."
"Geez, Jake. We are only here to see you two have a nice....a nice...honeymoon?" Seth was almost giggling under his breath.
"The only way you can make this nice is if you just back off and leave us alone."
I could sense Jake getting tense and I wondered if it was just because of the other wolves or because of where we had been heading. Upstairs. Alone in a hotel room. Whew. I better diffuse this situation before I come unraveled and think about what we are going to do.
"Hi Seth, hi Embry." Both boys smiled at me and when I smiled back their smiles really widened. This would be easy. "I think this town is big enough for us all. How about, if Jake needs you for anything he can phase and let you know."
"That sounds like a good idea but unless we are in wolf form we won't be able to hear him. I mean, we knew what he was going to do because he couldn't keep thinking about the ring and about..." Embry raised his eyebrows up and down mischievously. Yeah, like that is going to make it all better. Jake punched him in the arm hard enough to knock an average human into a slot machine 4 rows back. It was obvious the guys just wanted to protect their "Alpha" Technically speaking, Embry was in Sam's pack but the two were so fused it was hard to tell who was with what pack and Sam backed up Jake in everything anyway, except maybe this. Then I had a thought...
"Gentlemen, did Sam send you here?" Both boys blushed, even through their nicely tanned skin, they blushed.
Seth said, "Sam just wants to make sure the alpha of our pack can relax and we are here as back-up...just in case...I mean, we KNOW you don't need help with Nessie...but if anything of the non-human variety comes storming in, we want to be near."
Mr. and Mrs. Black, that's US!, we hadn't even thought about that. By now our parents would have known what we had done, seeing as the pack and the Cullen's are very civil, and we hadn't thought about any of the Volturi. They may have seemed slightly civil about 5 years ago but I am sure they had spies everywhere just waiting for me to mess up, or maybe to attack Jake. Honeslty, he was probably in more danger than I was. He thinks of me so much he hadn't thought about protecting himself. As I thought this I wrapped my arms around him, he turned to me. I placed my hands on his warm cheeks and told him all of this quickly. He felt my affection for his pack and what they were doing for him. For us. His face leveled off and he turned back to his pack members.
"Thank you for being here. I would have done the same for you, will do the same for you when you get married. I just don't think I want you hanging outside the door of our room or anything" This was so hard for Jake. We had never made love, not even close, and here he was talking about it.
Embry said, "We are going to stay outside, take shifts in wolf form, smelling, watching doors, just to be safe."
"Won't it be a little weird for people to see some huge wolf walking around?" I was skeptical.
"Hey, Nessie," said Embry,"this is Vegas...you know..what happens in Vegas..."
"Please not that saying." The guys all laughed as Seth and Embry headed away and Jake looked at me. We started toward the elevator, got in and he pushed the number for our floor.
"I can't believe I didn't think of this. They are right to be here and I know we can protect each other."
We were at our hotel room door and as he pushed it open I rushed through ahead of him, yanked him into the room, the door slamming behind him. I jumped onto him, my legs wrapping around his body, his hands on my backside, I leaned into his neck pressing my teeth into him and licking on the tiny drop of blood now sliding down his throat.
"You can't protect yourself from this!" He practically threw us onto the bed, my legs still wrapped around him, my tongue still licking his blood.
