| This is a work in progress so I'm sorry if you don't like it. Anyway here is the rough draft of the story I'm trying to write. Feel free to come forward and help me with it if you want! |
A young woman walked out of the diner she worked at and down a side street, holding a bag. It was late at night and she was trying to get back quickly to the motel she was staying at. The wind picked up a bit as she walked so she pulled her jacket hood up over her head, her long golden hair blowing in the wind a bit. She luckily made it back without any issues. She pulled an old key out of her pocket and unlocked the door and stepped in, closing the door behind her. "Mommy?" A small sleepy voice said, coming from the bed. She turned around after locking the door back and her lips curved up into a big smile. "Hey baby, why are you still up this late?" She asked the little boy who was now sitting up, wrapped up in the covers. "Cause me and brucie were waiting for you." He said and smiled sleepily. A big furry head lifted from the bed and panted softly, his fluffy tail wagging slightly at the sight of the woman. She smiled and walked over to the bed, kissed her sons head before rubbing bruces ears. "Good boy bruce." She praised lightly and opened the bag. She pulled a carry out box of food out and handed it to her son. She also gave bruce her leftovers. The boy set a book down and began to eat his food. "Did you study like I told you to do?" She asked him, going into the bathroom and changing into a grey t-shirt and sweat pants. "Yeah momma" he said, chewing his food up before he spoke. Bruce had already eaten the leftovers that was given to him and then followed the woman. She tended to an old gash on her stomach, cleaning it and putting a new bandage on it before walking out and climbing into bed with her son. She smiled brightly and wrapped her arms around him gently, "I love you Grayson." She mumbled. Grayson giggled softly and hugged her back, careful not to knock the carry out box of food off the bed. Her phone rang loudly, killing the comfortable silence of the room. Grayson frowned and sat up as his mother gave a sad sigh and got up, grabbing her phone to answer it. "Hey dean."
