Chap 4

Since there isn't any mission in the board because it was taken Fate has to go and look for one with Lucy accompanying her to 'bond' with each other. Fate walked passed a weapon shop when she noticed a weapon a double blade spear like staff, she had wanted one of those since she wanted to train with every weapon she get her hands on like her mother dose who can almost do the 8 trigrams 64 palms by channeling her chakra on a chopstick, a CHOPSTICKS of all things! She stared at it for a while before she started walking again.

Lucy noticed her eyeing the staff like blade thingy. Lucy also noticed that they are heading out of the village so she can't help but ask.

"Where are we going?"

"Where destiny will lead us and maybe we'll find a job while we're at it" Fate answered for a few seconds and they kept walking.

It was 3 hours since they were walking and Lucy was getting tired.

"Can we take a break? I'm tired! Aren't you?!" Lucy asked as she sat down on a rock and massages her sore feet.

"No but you do have a point, we're stopping on a next town, another two hours walk from here and if we leave now we'll reach there by nightfall" Fate said as she looked up in the sky

"WHAT?! But-"

"Then I'll carry you, I can't have you slowing me down because you're not use to travelling by foot and instead rode on trains. Ninjas are trained to endure something like this, now let's go. There is a storm that will hit at precisely 38 minutes. We'll reach there in 59 minutes if you get on my back and let's get going" Fate stated bluntly

Lucy bit back a retort and stood up. Fate had removed her cloak and handed it to Lucy.

"Wear it, since you'll be riding on my back the cloak well be shielding both of us from being drench to the bone." Fate said blankly

"Fine" Lucy then wore the surprisingly comfy and warm coal and pulled the hood up as she got on the back of a 14 years old, she's 15 and turning 16! It was embarrassing.

Lucy wrap her arms around the neck of the Hyuuga and sat on the ridiculous giant scroll. Suddenly Fate leap from the ground making her yelp and held on tighter and closed her eyes. She though they would fall since she might be heavy and make them trip because Happy always told her she was heavy. But to her surprise they were keeping on a steady pace. They were moving pretty fast since the surroundings are now in a blur. She was in awe

'Maybe ninjas aren't so bad like what the books say they. They're actually amazing' Lucy thought as they leap from tree branch to tree branch.

It goes on like that for 38 minutes until it starts to rain. And as Fate predicted it was a storm, the rain is heavy and the wind is violent. Lucy was surprise when the cloak isn't wet yet. Another two whole minutes passed Fate slowed down and hid in the shadows of the trees.

"Don't make a sound, someone is tailing us. Hold on tighter" Fate whispered as she removed Lucy from her back and into the steady tree and hidden in the shadows, Fate held a finger in her lips indicated her to stay quiet as Fate slowly creep in the shadows.

Fate then sunk in farther in the shadows as 8 men wearing cloaks stood in the clearing, looking around. They're bandits. Suddenly, in a blink of an eye the bandits fell in the muddy ground in a pile on top of each other. And Fate is standing on top of their bodies like a boss, 'Woah! She's so fast. I didn't even see her until it was all over' Lucy thought. Fate then dragged the bodies in a nearby tree and tied their bodies with a rope before Fate leap back in the tree where Lucy is hiding.

"Let's go. The rain will washed away our trail by the time they wake up" Fate said as she crouch down, Lucy then got on and ignored the fact that the brunette is wet.

They travelled for twenty minutes until they reached a town that is mostly closed. Fate ran through the town without getting any mud in her clothes. She stopped in a hotel and entered.

"One room please with two beds" Fate said as she let Lucy down and approached the clerk.

"You're lucky little girl, it's the only room we have available. What name shall I sign in?" The clerk asked

"Fate Hyuuga" Fate said as she placed the amount of jewels that is needed

"Alright, Ms Hyuuga. Here is the key, enjoy your stay" The clerk said as he handed the golden key to the Hyuuga when he saw her pale lavender eyes.

"Stop looking at me like that. I'm not blind, I can see you perfectly" Fate hissed, the clerk then noticed the guild mark on her left neck

"Oh I'm sorry about that" the clerk apologies but Fate had already turned her back and walked away

"Let's go" Fate said as they both entered the elevator and pressed the 9th floor. The elevator stopped and opened as two elderly couple entered the elevator. Fate then helped them as the floor is wet because of them.

"Such a nice young lady. You're really cute too, and your eyes is pretty as well" The woman said

"Thank you for the complement ma'am" Fate smiled slightly as the elevator door opened and she stepped out with Lucy and head to their room.

"Take a shower first, I'll get some clothes for you. And don't argue" Fate said as she moved her wet bangs from her eyes

"You don't have to be so cranky about it" Lucy said as she hanged the cloak in the stand. Lucy then entered the bathroom.

Fate grabbed her scroll that is still dry because of the seal her mother had placed on it. She unsealed a scroll that contains her clothes. She grabbed two pairs of pajama, the first one is a long black shirt that reached to her thighs and a white pajama pants and a pair of underwear, she placed it in the bed near the heater. She grabbed her scroll and placed it in the opposite bed near the window. She unsealed a pair of yellow pajamas with pink bubbles on it. She waited for Lucy to come out and for her turn.

Fate entered the bathroom and removed her wet clothes and washed them first before she hang them next to Lucy's before she jump in the showers and relaxed her tensed muscles. When she was finished she grabbed a hair dryer or whatever it's called, since she really don't use it, she blow dried her hair before she tied them into a fishtail braid. Her hair is long and it reached up to her butt but it goes in a way when she's fighting so she had pulled it in a single bun with a braid head band for a style (Like Anna's coronation bun from frozen but without the green ribbon) Fate then exit the bathroom just as a knock was heard. She used her Byakugan to check and relaxed when she noticed that it was a staff with their dinner. She grabbed the amount and a tip as she opened the door and let the clerk in, Fate then handed him the payment and tip before she closed and locked the door.

"Dinner's ready" Fate said as she settled the dinner in the table. It was a food she has never seen before.

"Let's eat!"

"Right....thanks for the food..." Fate said as she eyed Lucy ate before she ate hers, it was good.

"Wha? You're finished already?!" Lucy gapped when the plate in front of Fate is sparkling clean.

"It's what mostly ninja's ate. Most of us have a mask in their faces and had to eat quickly without chocking, the training is really difficult but you'll get a hang on it" Fate answered as she placed her empty ice cream cup in the table. Lucy's eyes widen even more

"I didn't even saw you shove a spoon in your mouth!" Lucy yelled, Fate shrug and smirked in amusement, it never gets old. She remembered the faces of her parents, grand uncle, uncle, and aunties', and her cousins' faces when she ate just as fast as Kakashi, they didn't got their first taste and she's already done, one of the perks of being Kakashi Hatake's apprentice.

After dinner Fate then crashed to her bed and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
