You've been hunting with the boys longer then you can remember. You've watched Sam, Dean and Cas all come close to dying, praying that they wouldn't. You can remember the screams faintly, all the blood, all the laughter, all the memories you shared with the boys.
But that was soon coming to an end.
The night started with all 3 of you, Sam, Dean, and yourself of course finishing up a long grueling hunt of killing a pack vampires that had set camp in a small town outside of Lawrence, Kansas. Throughout the whole time of being in this city that held so much history for the Winchesters; Dean became distant, and angry with everything and everyone. He didn't try to hide it, he made it very apparent.
Pulling up to the bar riding shotgun with Dean white knuckling the steering wheel. His face a scorn, wrinkles of anger, sadness written like scars. You glanced over, noticing his expression.
"Dean, you ok?" You asked, wanting to help. You guys weren't exactly a thing, but in the hunting community you guys were known as a power couple.
"I'm fine (Y/N). Stop asking." He said, blankly and dry. Forcing the words out.
Once we made it into the bar, Dean waddled his way over to the bar and instantly hitting on the very attractive female. Long brown curled hair, bright baby blur eyes, perfect smile, big boobs. Perfect. Deans type.
You grabbed a seat at the bar next to him. His shoulders and head immediately dropped. You took notice but brushed it off until he spoke up.
"Can I ever get a day without you?" He growled. At first you were shocked he would say something like that, but this was Dean. And he was pissed. He was practically seething.
"I mean- I thought we were?" You spoke up, startled at first. The bartender took notice of you and walked away to help some other guy.
"Were What? A couple?" He glanced up, making eye contact with you. His greens weren't full of love like they normally were. They were replaced with hate.
"Uh I mean-"
"Just leave me alone. I need space. You're always there. Just go away and leave me be for fucks sake. I don't want you anymore." He spat.
Anger started boiling in you, you couldn't believe what you were hearing. "Are you serious? How dare You? You know what Dean, if that's how you really feel, I'll just leave for good."
You got up, gave Dean one last look to maybe see if he was joking or would apologize but he didn't look like saying anything.
"You know what? I get we are close to Lawrence, but that doesn't mean you can take your anger out on me. Go see your mom. I'll be gone before you get back. Have a nice life." You said. You walked away, feeling the knot growing in your chest. Feeling tears starting to form but you couldn't let Dean see it. He was being an ass, but more than usual. You walked out of the bar, following the gravel road to who knows where. The moonlight guiding you. You pulled your phone out, calling Sammy for a ride, telling him what happened; crying. He was sympathetic as usually. Sam picked you up, taking you back to the motel telling him he will stay with you, that "Dean is just in a mood. It'll blow over." Once you got back to the motel, Sam and yourself decided to take a walk and talk. Even though he was the younger brother, he was more mature about things and understood from both point of views. Sam was caring, sensative unlike Dean.
After a long walk you both made it back to the hotel room you all shared. Sam convinced you to stay, even if it was just one more night. Sam being nice let you watch you wanted, and let you sleep in his bed so you wouldn't have to deal with drunk belligerent Dean whenever he arrived.
Deans POV
I shouldn't of said that to her. She's been here not only for me, but for Sam. Fuck even Cas. She's my best friend and a great girlfriend. Fuck. I fucked up. I shouldn't of said that. She's probably already gone. I've lost the one good one. I already miss her smell, her laugh, her glowing hazel eyes, the mocha hair.I took another swig of my beer, thinking of what I've done and how I would apologize to her if she wasn't gone.
*buzz buzz*
Glancing down, I noticed a text from Sam."Dude what the fuck? (Y/N) is pissed and crying. She wants to leave but I've convinced her to wait until daylight. If you want to make things right, you better do it before dawn."
Thanks god, she's still here.
Your POV
You woke up in the morning with flowers on the night stand next to you with a note. The note read:"(Y/N) I'm sorry for what I said. It was uncalled for and I'm sorry. I hope you'll find the will to forgive me. I listened to what you said and decided to go see my mother's grave. I left flowers for you, your favorite kind, sunflowers. Please don't leave. I want to make things right with us.
Love, Dean."
You smiled, grabbing the flowers to inhale their smell. Maybe things will get better?
