The moon shined down on the giant glass home and a few minutes passed gathering quiet in the house. The resort perched perfectly on the hill the clouds passing the windows, people strolling inside the house talking amongst each other. A hour ago the guest were told they were contestants for this years killing games.

Wade was on the ground in his room, doing a set of push- ups. The twins stayed in the kitchen behind the counter observing everyone. Others were around the home, roaming but a crowd was in the living room. Talking amongst each other.

                     Shawn's POV

I smiled on, watching two of my patients from a far. In a large colorful room, two physically disabled boys laughed and talked to one another.
One boy in a blue walker, and the other in a black custom wheelchair.  His name embedded in flaming red letters on the chair material.

They were puzzles laying about. A giant red ball used for therapy. Games and machines in all corners. I enjoyed my job. I was a therapist and had been in this career for three years now.

''John, Richard!'' I called out to the kids. They slowly gazed my way and grinned. I sat down and pulled out a board game.

''Operation!'' One of the boys yelled out. Chuckling I nodded. ''Let play, shall we?'' I said. Waving them over. I had many methods as a therapist. This tested their motor skills in moving the muscles more.

I congratulated John. He managed to take a bone out. Without touching the edges of the metal. ''Good job, champ'' I praised him.

...

''I think you should go...'' Jen told me. We were in a hotel room as I wrapped my arms around her. Slowly giving her neck a peck.

''I don't want to leave you here Jen. If I go, would you come with me?'' I asked her. ''You wont be leaving me anywhere" Jen scoffed. "Plus I need to focus on college.'' She told me. We stared at another from the mirror as we embraced our time together.

Jennifer and I,  had been dating for a year now. It felt right with her. '' You work so hard with the kids." She said.  "You know you need this vacation. God is even telling you.'' She laughed. I grinned and rubbed her shoulders. '' Not everyone just has a free vacation coupon to a luxurious island sent into their mail...'' She said sarcastically.

''So.. Enjoy yourself boo-boo..''Jen added. My...she had a way with her words.  Slowly we leaned in for a kiss..But before our lips could meet, the image was replaced with a blonde, shirtless man closing in.

''Wake up dude..'' Cody told me shaking my shoulders to get me up. I sat up from the couch. ''How could you sleep at a time like this?'' Nikki asked me from behind the other leather couch. I shrugged slowly rubbing my eyelids. Man I wish this part was a dream.

I wish I was at work helping my children. My patients. My stomach turned. I shouldn't have went on this vacation. I shouldn't have felt the need to reward myself for something I loved doing. It wasn't like I needed a vacation. I wasn't tired or needed a break. I just wished I was home with my girlfriend Jen.

I wonder how she was doing. I took out my phone. '' They just cut off the power signals.. We cant receive or call anyone. Not text either.everything is down..'' Adam told me. He had a look on his face as if he was thinking. Making a plan in his head. In deep thought.

''Dammit..'' I whispered.

" We were just talking about an escape plan.. This is how its going to go.'' Claire began.'' If you want to stay here like sitting ducks then go for it, but me, I'm heading for the door now while its still dark" Claire announced.
