Wednesday = After School
I was packing up my stuff to get ready to go home and call it a day, that was until Aiden and Kenta came up to me with a...unpleasant look on there face
Aiden : Yo Y/n haven't forgotten about us have you?
Y/n : What? No, why would you say that?
Kenta : Because we haven't competed in a long time, how can you show me that you are worth being my rival that way
Aiden : So we're going to the arcade
Y/n : There no getting out of this one is there....
Aiden : Nope, now let's go
Basically pushing me Aiden makes me walk out of the classroom, I took out my phone and texted Ann and Kessho
Y/n : Going to be late
Ann : Why?
Y/n : Aiden and Kenta are forcing me to go the arcede, Sorry
Kessho : It's Alright have fun
Looking back at the texts they sound like a married couple asking to go with friends somewhere, makes me chuckle a bit before putting my cellphone back in my pocket and continued to walk to the arcade, we talked about random stuff until we got to the arcade. Today it didn't seem like a lot of people were there, we entered and immediately Kenta rushed me to the same game we usually played, Street Fighter III. After beating him a couple times he finally agrees to give it a rest
Kenta : Looks like you've been practicing just to beat me
Y/n : I actually haven't played that game in like a week or so
Kenta : T-then it must be your lucky day
Aiden then stops and looks to the right side of the arcade
Aiden : Hey isn't that Scarlett?
Kenta : The first year who talks to no one?
Aiden : Yeah! That one!
I follow his gaze and as a matter of fact there she is in front of a Grabber game machine
Aiden : Never thought she'd be a arcade type person
Both of them continued to move around looking at the games while I was curious about Scarlett she's never like being in places with lots of people but today the arcade was rather empty to say the least
Y/n : You guys go ahead there's something I'd like to do
Aiden : Oh, sure
They continue looking around while I approach Scarlett
Y/n : Hey Scarlett
She looks at me with the same she always has before inspecting the Grabber game
Y/n : You can at least say *hello*
Scarlett : I've never been good with greetings
She doesn't stop looking at the game, follow her gaze to see a Squid with funny looking face
Y/n : Want that one?
She just nods, I put a coin and give it a try. I managed to get the plushy which she hugs making feel a lot better about getting it for her
Y/n : So Scarlett what are you doing here?
Scarlett : Am I not supposed to be?
Y/n : No it's not that just wandering, your not the type of person to be here that's all
Scarlett : Your right, I was curious about this machine
Y/n : O-oh any particular reason?
Scarlett : just read about it off a...Book
She doesn't seem to want to get into to much detail so I change the subject
Y/n : So have any friends yet
Scarlett : I don't need friend
Y/n : But a life without friends is just...sad
Scarlett : I won't die just because I don't have friends
I felt a bit sad so I needed to give a example of a sad little boy who used to think just like
Y/n : There was once a little kid who's parents died while he was still quite young, he was devastated he was so sad he never wanted to feel that pain ever again so he decided to block himself from other people so he wouldn't get attached to people again. That was when two girls decided to play with him, the kid felt happy but he still worried about feeling that same pain he felt that day but he decided to move forward give life another chance and he was always happy since then. Het got along with his new parents and even made more friends.
Scarlett didn't react but still asked me something
Scarlett : Why are you telling me this?
I thought about how to answer her question but in the end I decided to tell her everything
Y/n : Because...that kid was me. I'm happy with my current life right now so I want to do the same thing those two girls did for me, I want to help you.
She stood there and for the first time she changed her expression to one of shock.
Scarlett : I see. Thank you
With that she left without saying anything else but I know she may be reflecting on want I told her. I catch up with Aiden and Kenta and continued playing though I couldn't stop thinking about Scarlett but I knew she would do the right thing, not to long after I left saying goodbye to Aiden and Kenta and returning back home.
