Broken

Prologue

Brianna's pov.

5 years back....

Walking slowly. Looking for a place to call home. I saw a white van stop in front of me. People came out with a sack, I ran as fast as I can go. I kept running and stopped after a couple of turns. Everything was quite.

I felt someone watching me. I turned and saw a man in a mask. He moved his lips and what I got out of it was 'boo'. My eyes widened and I was knocked out.

Time skips...

My eyes fluttered open. I was in a cell. I walked to the steal bars and looked around. I wasn't the only one here. I looked around and I saw kids my age, and a bit older than me. Footsteps were heard. Everyone was quite and they looked scared. A man in black stood in front of me.

"Well, well, well looks like we finally caught her. " the man said. I spit at his face and everyone gasped. He whipped it off and he motioned his fingers.

The steel bars started to open up. The man walked in, and I backed up. He hit me multiple times, and pinned against the wall. He let me go and I fell on the floor. I coughed trying to breathe.

"How about we hear some music? " the man asked and started kicking me. I screamed in agony. "Now that's music to my ears. " he said. He picked me up and threw me across the room. I hit the wall and fell on the floor. I groaned and looked at him. "Oh that was a bad note. Let's try it again. " he said. He kept punching me in the gut and I just kept screaming.

"That's enough! " another an shouted. My eyes half way closed. He threw me on the floor and I tried standing up. But I couldn't.

"Who are you to tell me to stop? " he asked.

"You know. He said not to hurt any of them ,when he finds out..." The other an cut him off.

"I'll tell him that it was your idea. " the man in black said.

"He could just ask her, and all of them. " the man replied. The man in black walked towards me and picked me up. He punched me in the gut even harder then before and my eyes widened. I felt as if I couldn't breathe.

He dragged me on the floor to my cell. I looked as if I were dead. I picked me up one handed and threw me in the cell. But I hit the wall and landed on the floor. I just laid there. They walked off.

"Hey, are you okay? " a girl asked me. She seemed to be older than me. I tried to walk but I couldn't, I tried to move but I couldn't either. I just slowly nodded my head. "So what are you? " she asked. I was able to finally sit up and I looked at her confused. "I can shape shift. " she said. She shape shifted and I looked wide eyed. I started to breathe heavily.

"Cici! I don't even think she's like us! You showed yourself and all of us! " someone shouted.

"Oh... "Cici said. We heard footsteps again and I laid back on floor. My hair face covering my face. I saw the man that was arguing with the man in black. He did the same thing the man in black did and the cell bars opened. I quickly yet slowly sat up and backed up into the corner of my cell.

"Don't worry in not going to hurt you." He said in a soft voice. He put his hand up in front of me. I looked at Cici and she nodded with a reassuring smile. I put my hand up slowly and he gently gave me a high five. "Tell me what can you do? " he asked and sat down in front of me. I looked at him confused.

"I-I don't know what any of you are talking about. I don't know what I can do. I don't know anything. I don't even know who my parents are because they abandoned me." I said. He looked at me shocked and so did everyone else. He just sighed and looked down.

"Your parents didn't abandon you. " he said. I looked at him wide eyed.

"W-what? Where are they? Who are they? " I asked. He got up and left. "No please you can't just tell me that! I want to see my parents! I need answers! " I shouted and cried on the floor. "I want to know my past and who I am. " I said my tears landed on the floor. I just kept crying.

"That's all you need to know. " he said and quickly left. I saw a tray of food by the cell bars. I grabbed the food and threw it on the floor. Tears just kept running down my cheeks. I put my hands in my hair and left them there.

"Hey, are you okay? " Cici asked.

"Leave me alone. " I said and went to the corner of my cell.

"She's just dramatic and a cry baby. " someone said.

"Leave her alone! What if they told you your parents didn't abandon you? Wouldn't you want to know the truth! So shut up! You don't know how she's feeling! " Cici shouted.

"Cici has a point. Just a couple weeks ago the man in black told me what happened to my parents. He told me straight to my face that he killed them without any mercy! " someone shouted.

"I'm sorry. " I said.

"When I get out of this cell. I'm going to hurt him. " he said. And the man in black came.

"Oh yeah I didn't kill them. I had others kill them. " he said with a smile.

"Why would you tell him that?!?!?! You had no right to kill his parents!!! " I shouted.

"Listen princess, and the rest of you listen too. It's either your parents work for me, or they work against me so I order them to kill them. " he said.

"Your a cold hearted person! Who in their right mind will kill other people all because you tell them too! " I shouted.

"I mean your father had no mercy killing your mother. " he said. My eyes got teary.

"Your a lier. " I said.

"Why don't you ask your father? " he asked.

"That's enough! " the man behind him shouted.

"My father wouldn't kill my mother! They loved each other! If one of them fell the other wouldn't let them! They would protect each other no matter what! " I shouted.

"That's not true princess. " the man in black said. I slapped him and he was about to hit me. But the man stood between my cell and the man in black.

"Don't hurt her again! " the man shouted.

"Tell me something. If your father was right in front of you what would you do? And what would you do if he told you he did kill your mother? " the man in black asked.

"I wouldn't forgive him for killing her. He had another choice and that was to protect her! Not to hurt her! " I shouted.

"What if he didn't? " the man in black asked.

"I would ask about my past! Who I am! And why he didn't protect my mother! " I shouted.

"And if both of your parents were alive? " he asked.

"I would try to fill up all the years we we're separated. " I said.

"You stupid child! " the man in black shouted.

"Your probably like this to is because your parents didn't want you! And all of there parents loved them! So if they didn't join you, you would order to kill them! " I shouted.

"Shut up! " the man in black shouted.

"It's true isn't it? " I asked. The man in black pushed the man aside and grabbed my from the collar of my shirt.

"Are you trying to die today?!?!?! " the man in black asked.

"So I can be with my mother and father, yes. Please that's all I've been wanting to do, but no luck. " I said. He was about to punch me, but the man hit the man in black in the gut and carried him away.
