I watched as the fireworks from my neighbors house started booming and hear them scream Happy New Year

I looked at the time on my phone. 12 a.m.

Happy New Year

New year.
New life.
New friends
New school
And many more new

But for me, nothing is going to be new. It's just going to be a year with only me myself and I

I'm Zeniah Roswell, 18 years old, and I live in Sta Maria California. My family, or might as well say my mother, is pretty rich so my life is pretty well lived. It's just that something is missing, not money or a thing, I also don't know what is missing so, yeah.

*8 a.m.*

I woke up and went straight to the bathroom to take a bath

Last night I went straight to bed. I didn't want to celebrate New Year because nothing is even going to change in my life.

I got out of bathroom, dressed up in some comfy clothes and went to the kitchen

"Good morning dear" My mom greeted me but I didn't greet her back. Don't worry she's used to this.

"I'm going out with Coco to the park" I told her and went out with my dog, Coco, without waiting for her answer

We walked our way to the village's park and sat on a bench.

I was quietly enjoying the silence when suddenly a dog pounced on me and started licking my face

"Get off me!"

"Oh no!"
