4- Covers Up

I have never been in a meeting quite as horrible. Every moment I was in there, I ached to look at her, to spend a few seconds or so just unabashedly..... staring. I'm not entirely sure how I got through it , but I do know that it was one of the worst experiences of my life so far. Whenever I looked over at her she seemed avidly concentrating on the discussion, paying no attention whatsoever to me. Did anyone notice the looks I gave her?? They must have. If she didn't think of me as a strange Northern man before, she definitely will do now. Only making this worse for myself.

(Daenerys' POV)
Whenever I dared look at him, he was deeply immersed in the discussions happening around us. It almost seemed like he didn't notice that I was there, trying not to but undoubtedly following his every move. Gods know i should probably not attend tomorrow if it is to be like this. This is too much, Danaerys. HE is too much. If you can't help but fall for this man who is little more than a stranger, within a day, how are you supposed to lead the seven kingdoms?

i feel absolutely awful for not updating as quick as i said i would. i've gone through a really rough patch in my life recently (sounds self pitying, but it's not meant to be) and have not even been in the mood to switch on my capital letters in my settings, let alone get to writing this damn smut.
anyway things are looking up a bit, i'm now mostly on top of my school work and have over the last coupla days been not so mercurial in mood. so i thought i'd revisit this thing and see if i could write anything decent. i know it's shorter than the last ones, but at least it's written and published. who knows, we may even get back to regular installments again.
so yea, sorry i've been away so long!
