Chapter four
{Ariana}
Gabe was being awfully grabby, even for him. His hands were tight on my waist pulling me closer to him. I used my empty bottle as an excuse to escape his embrace. He asked for another beer as I walked away.
The beach house was packed tight with people. This was the best turn out for one of Gabe's parties ever. Kids from the private school in the other side of town had even shown up.
I saw Hayden, a girl from school, stumble into the kitchen.
"Drunk already?" I asked jokingly.
She bit her lip. "I haven't drank at all."
I popped the tops off of mine and Gabe's drinks. "Then why are ya being so weird?"
"Oh, you know." She forced a laugh.
I shrugged past her and went back to find Gabe. He'd moved from his spot by the terrace so finding him grew more difficult. After ten or so minutes of searching, I'd already downed my Smirnoff and Gabe's beer. I made my way over to the back door, assuming he'd be out by the water.
"Someone as gorgeous as you shouldn't be leaving alone," some guy murmured.
I let the bird fly. "Fuck off."
A tall guy moved in front of me. His grey eyes seemed to pierce right through mine and go straight to my soul. His perfect lips opened a bit.
"I'm Ariana," I offered.
"I'm Jack. Would you mind if I came with you?" he asked sweetly. His voice alone was intoxicating.
I found it too hard to speak.
"Come on, I won't bite." he said through a wicked grin.
I nodded happily.

Cole's gorgeous face looked so scared amongst the drunken humans. He'd been to multiple parties with me, so his nervousness annoyed me to no end. I elbowed him.
"Wow; nineteen and afraid of raging hormones," I scoffed.
He shook his head, irritated.
"What the hell is your problem?"
He glared down at me. "Nothing, just go fuck another human. I don't care anymore."
I watched him storm away from me. He was JEALOUS! Cole was actually jealous of me feeding on another human.
