Chapter One- Biscuit cupboards.
Clarissa's POV -
"That just won't do. We have to have to have this presentation for tomorrow so either you do it now or I fire you!" I yell as I glare at the incompetent person, who was hired specifically for this job, mind you they could barley even look me in the eye.
Honestly, if I come off as aggressive it wouldn't surprise me. The person, who has shrunk, has now shriveled his way out of my office in Winter publishings. I love my job as CEO of Winter publishings it is doing better financially now I've taken over, plus its owned under the Winter Enterprises Holdings Inc.
Our major boss is allusive but according to biscuit cupboard talk he's gay, which is totally okay though it doesn't stop all the girls pawing at him like he's a god. Although, now I say that he is an Adonis. Seriously.... However, work relationships end in tears actually all relationships do either way someone is left crying and broken I know that more than too well...
Tearfully shaking my head dismissing that trail of thoughts just as there is a pitter patter of knocks at my door. It must be Mr Winters personal assistants, Ally and Mara here to collect me for lunch. Sighing as they walk in and I pull on my heels once again, bless my sore feet. I hate heels. Why I wear them who the fuck knows? But they look so pretty and they make my legs look amazing.
"Are you coming Clara? I mean we only have half an hour." Mara looks at me patting her round stomach, she's five months pregnant and has a pregnancy glow.
"Yes just wait." I smile as Ally swipes on her killer purple lipstick only she can pull off that colour.
Ally is beautiful and most men stare at her with dropped jaws plus they carry on staring she kisses her wife. Ally is stunning with pale ivory skin that is like a porcelain dolls, her muddy blonde hair colour is tawny and currently cut to her shoulders so effortlessly. I kinda wish I was blonde sometimes because she gets so much attention and she is so pretty.
Mara is a sassy coloured woman with amazing light chocolate eyes that have this spark about them. She also has a habit of wearing red lipstick and on rare occasions turquoise but she pulls it off. We once tried putting it on me but it looked like I'd been eating a blue lollipop.
Quickly walking out of the office as we go down to the nearest deli they said they've been told to pick Mr Winter up a chicken and bacon sandwich. Suddenly I glimpse the rare sight of the man himself standing leaning against a window his dark bronze hair is tousled and extravagant as per usual. Those piercing green eyes as normal have a mischievous look about them his sleeves are rolled up and his blazer is slung over his left shoulder like some vogue run way model.
"Am I okay to come?" He questions us.
"Sir if we said no you'd still come anyway." I roll my eyes at Mara's answer because I know his type of men, crazy secret psychopaths.
Wandering away as I'm really hungry as the others follow down to the deli, he is following suit with us. Reaching the boisterous sound of the streets as the sounds of people yelling and car horns all spill into the air. Going down to the small deli just across the road, they get most of their business from us. Probably was a good idea to put a deli near a mass industrial area, especially near office blocks.
Standing in the line holding a bottle of water and a fruit pot plus my usual tuna mayo sandwich, just as I feel someone graze past me.
"Sir I don't think you understand. I don't car if you're a multi billionaire get behind me because I'm very hungry right now and I will put you on your ass if you don't move." I snap just as he stares bewildered as he moves behind.
Buying my food I look at Mara and Ally, "guys I don't feel comfortable anymore so I'm of back to the office to eat, maybe I'll even raid the biscuit cupboard." They smile but Ally grabs me.
Whispering in my ear,"not all men are going to tell you that you're fat for wanting to eat."
"Yeah but he's made his opinion very clear that clearly I need to wait till I can eat." I snarl as I walk away my heels clicking on the pavement as I storm my way back to the office.
I'm not falling back into that rutt, I can't. As I get back to the safety of my office and I raided the biscuit cupboard in need of some comfort food.
