Chapter seven - memories

"What are you wearing tonight?" He smiles while looking at me wardrobe.

"I don't know a trash bag perhaps." He frowns at my humor,"don't worry money bags I'm not going to make you look bad."

"Yeah but your charity shop purchases are a little unorthodox." Clearly he's noticed the carrier bags,"Clara one day I'm going to buy you the best wardrobe for my beautiful wife."

"Yeah yeah you've not even proposed yet ass hole so don't be calling me your wife yet." I snap as I pull out a classic small black dress pairing it with a warm coat.

Slowly turning around seeing him watching me eagerly, bending down grabbing my black peep toe heels.
"You can get out now." I snap as I physically push him out of the wardrobe,"sit on my bed and sniff my socks."

Slamming the door as I quickly change into my dress and heels, as I look in the jewellery box for a necklace.

Tobias's POV-

Taking this opportunity to look around her room, standing amazed in front of a whole cupboard filled with trophies and awards. Basketball, baseball, football, ballet, martial arts and so many more. Seeing pictures of her in so many different sport kits, including a very familiar track kit stood next to my brother.

"Hey when did you go to St. Helens highschool?" I ask turning around to see her stood smirking at me.

"Around year ten maybe. I stayed there for the rest of my school career." Clara's eyes notice the picture I'm holding,"your brother and I were good friends he helped me one day and then we were friends ever since. Though we haven't talked pretty recently."

"Oh." That is probably down to his recent marriage.

"No I never had a crush on your brother he always had eyes for Ariadne." She smiles,"he went and married her just like promised he would."

"Did you ever have a crush on someone?" Asking Clara who blushes.

"Yeah on a certain older brother to one of my best friends for a while."she admits.

"Wait me...." She smiles nodding.

"But you ignored me no matter what I did you never noticed me. Your brother in the end lied to me so I could get over you." She tells me and I feel small.

"The cute notes in my locker were you." I realise as she blushes turning away,"why.... Did I never notice you?"

"I know but you don't remember." She smiles softly.

Flashback....

"Hey brother!" My baby brother throws his arms around me.

"I'm good." I notice his friends sitting down at the dinner table, my mum is smiling.

Noticing the only girl sat at the table in looking down at her hands nervously, no offense to her it looks dodgy for a girl to be hanging round with so many lads. I get it she's the best track runner at school but still.

Later on that night.

"Mum why do I have to give up my room for her? She can sleep on the sofa." I snap at my mum.

"No she can't the lads are down there and that girl has been through enough." My mum says and I look at her rolling my eyes walking away just as a certain person bumps into me.

"Oops I'm so sorry." She looks down never looking up at me once, I know I've got hot feet but I didn't think they were that good looking.

"No its fine." I snap at her and she takes a literal step back, before walking downstairs and walking straight out the front door.
