Sam walked inside the cafeteria and her nose was immediately filled with mixed scents. Scents of cologne, [bad] cafeteria food, just basically smells that will make someone dizzy.

She looked for a table at the very far end corner and sure enough, she found one - her usual spot where no one can easily find her.

Once she got out her sandwhich from her paper bag, she started eating it while reading a book - Charm Seekers. [Yes it's really a book i think for kids or teens idk really but it's really good]

"Hey look guys! It's Horan blind!!" she heard someone shout. Her attention turned towards the cafeteria door where a not so normal boy stood. He has cane in his right hand and his left hand was stretched out slightly to avoid bumping himself to a wall or a door or someone.

She immediately felt pity towards the boy because of the people bullying him, but she couldn't do anything even if Sam wanted to, badly. Sam was too weak, fragile infact to put up a fight.

That was when they crossed the line. One popular jock put his foot purposely in the way and the blind boy tripped, face first on the floor.

"Hey! Stop what you're doing!" Sam shouted from the back and all the attention diverted towards her. She quickly rushed to the boy's aid and helped him up.

"Oh look, if it isn't Samantha Wade. What're you gonna do? Tell your daddy about this?" The jock said in a baby voice and the crowd erupted into fits of loud laughter. Samantha felt the heat rushed to her cheeks and she felt like crying, but crying isn't in her list today.

"How about you grow some balls and stop bullying innocent people. I doubt you even have a dad who listens to you." Samantha spat making the jock's eyes grow wide and his jaw drop.

"C'mon now." Sam whispered at the blind boy's ear and they both headed to the nurse's office.

"How bad is he hurt?" Samantha asked the nurse. "Nothing major, really. He just has a bruised eye and a bit of blood from his nose, but he's okay now." Thw nurse reassured. Samantha thanked the nurse and she left the two of them to talk.

"T-Thank you for um y-you know.." the blind boy said his hand resting on his wooden cane.

"Not a problem, really. I'm Samantha Wade. Sam for short." she said and stuck her hand out, but quickly retrieved it back once she realized the boy really can't see.

"I'm Niall. Niall Horan." the boy smiled not looking directly at her and he stretched out his right hand. Sam took it and shook it firmly.

The bell rang indicating that lunch is over and Niall quickly got up.

"Bye S-Sam. I have t-to go now.." Niall stretched out his left hand slightly and he pat his cane in random directions.

Samantha's heart sank and she got up from her chair and walked towards the boy. "Here, I'll help you." Sam said. Niall looked surprised and thought "Someone actually wanted to help me."

"T-thank you, but I'd-" "If you're going to say you're going to be a bother, no. You're not." Sam said cutting Niall off. Niall blushed and looked down. Sam found it adorable. She find Niall adorable.
