Millions tears shed
For our fallen brethren
For we know, that they
Will never rise up againThey sacrificed themselves
To win the fight
How gut-wrenching their screams were
That one, horrible nightDays, months, and years
May go by
That I am not haunted
By the sound of their criesBut, in the blink of an eye
The burden will crash
And all the painful memories
Will return in a flashWe might've won the fight,
But I haven't won the war
In my head, day after day
All I ever hear is moreShrieks of pain, echoing
Throughout my head
Filling my entire body
Completely, with dread-------------------------------------------------------
All we ever wanted,
Was to put an end to the violence
Now maybe one day, if I'm lucky
All I'll hear, will be
Silence
