Preparations

Rowan's POV
I sit up bolt upright as my alarm goes off, it's a habit that I can't seem to quit. The sun peaks through my curtains and I rub my eyes tiredly as the realisation of exam day rolls in. I've been attending Yale for 4 years now and I cannot wait for the holidays. I've only got one more exam and then I can fly to California for the festival of the summer. I can't help but smile at this, even though things have been pretty bleak here, everything seems to be going uphill now. Despite my split from my boyfriend Brad and falling out with pretty much all of my friends, I'm looking forward to the future.
After getting dressed into my faded ripped jeans and pink cropped top, I head downstairs to find Ellie my only friend around here now.
"Rowan! Hey, big news!" Ellie says as I approach
"What's up?" I ask, intrigued
"There's a new girl in the dorm down the hall, she's just your type!" Ellie says, laughing. Recently I've been a lot more open about my sexuality. I am into both males and females which is probably why Brad and I broke up, I told him girls were so fucking hot and he told me I was gross so we broke up. It was messy and awful but it's over. Ellie helped me through all of it and I couldn't be more grateful but I still can't help but feel like I'm the only gay person at Yale.
"Look there she is" Ellie whispers to me as I see a flash of blonde disappearing around the corner
"She's probably not even into girls" I sigh and head towards the food hall
"Don't be so negative! Where's the positive Rowan I know?" Ellie laughs and tickles me teasingly.

Sabrina's POV
"Sabrina! Wake up you lazy lump!" I hear Carly saying from the bathroom "You do know that we're hitting the road in half an hour whether you're ready or not!"
I groan and sit up, I am not a morning person. "I'm coming Carls" I say tiredly and head into the bathroom where Carly is just finishing brushing her teeth. "Shower up, I'll pack your bags" she smiles at my pityingly
"Stop giving me pity" I say as snappy as I can which sounds a bit like a slurred drunk trying to snap but she gets the point.
"Okay sleepyhead" she says, again with the smile.
I step into the shower and slather myself in soap.
Once I'm dressed and packed, Carly and I head down to the car park where we meet with Jake and Ryan. Jake is probably the hottest guy I've ever seen and also my best friend. He's so funny I'd be miserable without him. Ryan on the other hand is so dry you can't have a full conversation with him unless he's totally drunk, which lucky for us he usually is. "Hop in hotties" Jake says as we climb into the car. I smile at him and take my seat whilst Carly blushes and giggles, it's pathetic she's had a crush on him since I first introduced them yet he's never so much as batted an eyelid at her.
Finally we hit the road and suddenly I realise how much fun this trip is going to be.
"Okay ladies, truth or dare?" Jake says, spinning round to face us
"Truth, it's always safest" I say
"Best kiss you've ever had?" Jake asks. My mind flashes back to the last day of shooting girl meets world, we were all laughing and then Rowan pulled me aside to give me a promise ring almost identical to the ones our characters had. I hadn't got her anything so instead I pulled her closer and the two of us kissed passionately, her lips tugging on mine in the sexiest way and her arms were rested on my hips although they were snaking down, nearing my ass. I couldn't help but pull her closer and kiss down her neck, we were extremely close to going all the way but unfortunately Cory knocked on the door of the room we were in and we had to stop. That's definitely the best kiss of my life but there's no way I can say that. "Ciaren" I say instead and bite my lip trying not to thing of the way Rowan had held me. Jake laughs "Wasn't he the one who took your V-card?"
I shake my head and laugh "No that was way before Ciaren" which earns a lot of praise from the rest of the car.

Rowan's POV
Finally exams are done. Time to board my flight and dance my troubles away. I'm supposed to be meeting Ellie at the airport but as she's probably in the dorm I wander along to meet her and see if she wants a lift. The dorm's empty so I grab my suitcase and head towards the exit, in my way I see the new girl. I smile at her and get a small smile in return, her lips looking smooth and soft and they remind me of someone's but I can't think who's. "Hey, you're Rowan right?" she says in a british accent
"Yeah, it's nice to meet you" I smile
"Mm you too, I remember you on that show. What was it called again?" She asks cocking her head to the side and letter her hair cascade down
"Girl meets world" I say, I've often wondered what it would be like if we'd all stayed in touch of if I had persued acting. I'm not very good with fame and the only person who helped me through it was Sabrina. Ah that's who her lips reminded me of, they're the same luscious pink as Sabrina's. I wish I had stayed in touch with Sabby, our last memory was an interrupted make out but I feel like it could have gone so much further if only Cory hadn't walked in. I wish I'd had a chance to feel her smooth skin on mine, her hands touching me the way only she could touch me. I hadn't realised how much I missed her until now. Even our late night conversations made me smile and erupted in hundreds of butterflies.
After saying goodbye to the new girl, who could probably sense I was distracted, I take out my phone and scroll through my contacts praying Sabrina hasn't changed her number

I reread the text hundreds of times and realise how ridiculous it is that I'm texting her after all this time. I delete the text and head for the airport, what was I thinking? She probably doesn't even remember me.
