Your POV
Everything was still blurry, but even here, in the middle of what had been nightmare, you closed your eyes, trusting in Nightmare, even has you were afraid it was a beautiful like by your own mind.
"Don't... Don't leave me.... Please....." You begged softly, whimpering has he ran his hand through you hair.
"I'm right here darling. I promise," He murmured, keeping you within the fold of his arms, ears flicked back slightly. Neither of you moved has you felt the dream start to slip away, letting it fade into the real world, yet again.
Has you opened your eyes, you expected to be alone. However, you found the comfort of Nightmares arms still very real, curling closer to him.
Hoping this wasn't from pity.
"I'm sorry 'bout earlier darlin'," Nightmare whispered, rubbing your back. "I was a bit pushy now wasn't I?"
"Mhmm....... So was I...." You got out softly, watching the floor. Softly, he pulled your gaze back up to him, your hair falling over your face just slightly.
"You are perfectly, perfectly fine darling." He gave you a small smile, framing your face with his hands softly. "I love you has you are,"
You smiled, relaxing in his gentle hold. Even if he was a bit more protective and pushy then you'd have ever wanted before, he was only so because he cherished you. He loved you....
"I love you too," You whispered softly.
Then you both jumped, right before he would have kissed you, because somebody was banging on the door.
