CHANCE POV:
Apparently we wouldn't be avoiding talking after all then.
"Thanks, she didn't listen." I replied, shutting my curtain to my bunk back the second I saw hers open slightly.
"Chance, you know we've got to talk about this eventually." She said, letting out a sigh.
"We could just talk at the end of the tour." I said. "You know that way things aren't awkward like before, and we don't have to get replaced with your next boyfriends band again."
"That's bullshit and you know it."
I opened the curtain on my bunk and looked across the hall, meeting her eyes finally. "What do you expect me to say, Laur? Cause obviously I don't know what to say or do or expect."
"Where am I supposed to fit in with you and Bennett?" She asked. "And I mean that seriously, Chance. Cause like you said the other day, you have Bennett to worry about too."
"You fit wherever you want with us, Lauren. But you can't just keep seeming like you want to be part of our family and then backing out of it."
"I just want to start over, Chance. I want us to be easy, not difficult. I miss it back when we could just sneak onto each other's buses."
"We could still be that simple, Laur."
"You have Bennett. We can't just be that simple anymore."
I scooted to sitting up on the edge of my bunk, facing her completely. "Let's just be us for the rest of the tour, okay? Don't have to worry about any labels, or anything complicated like that shit. Just us."
"And Bennett. Cause you two are a packaged deal. And I wouldn't want that any other way. Cause the boys adorable."
I smiled and jumped down from my bunk, crossing the small hallway and colliding my lips with hers, before climbing my way into the bunk.
TIME SKIP:
I pressed my lips to the side of her neck again before laying my forehead against the back of her head.
"We need to get up." Lauren said, intertwining our hands together in front of her.
"I don't want to." I said, smiling.
"They're gonna be back soon. We can't just lay here forever." She said, rolling over to face me, smiling. "We at least need to get dressed."
I sighed, kissing her before sliding out of the bunk. "Fine." I said, grabbing my discarded clothes and putting them back on while Lauren exited the bunk and did the same.
I walked up and sat down on the couch, just in time as the door opened and Caleb walked in with Bennett, everyone else following behind her.
"Here, I'll take him." I said, going to stand up.
Caleb shook his head, "Don't worry about it. I got him tonight."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, you could use a break for a night man." He said, walking on past me to the beds.
Dinah stopped in front of me, smirking slightly. "So?"
"We talked, alright? Lets just leave it at that, DJ." I said, smiling. Lauren walked into the room at that point and sat down beside me. Dinah smirked and nodded, walking on back to the bunks.
