"Taxi!" my mother hollered at a near by taxi while waving her arms to get its attention. The taxi driver then spotted her and drove towards us through the busy traffic. She then opened the back door and told me to get in quickly.
"Where to?" the driver asked her as she entered the car with me.
"El Cine Estrella, please," my mother answered. She then turned to face me and smiled. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it to show my gratitude.
"Thanks mom," I whispered quietly. She held my hand up and squeezed it tightly.
"You're welcome," she replied happily. She then turned her head around to face her window and began to watch the passing cars. I stared at her in amazement. How could she put up with my drama? My tantrums. My screaming. My disease.
'She deserves better,' I told myself. I then turned around to face my window and see all the people and cars passing by.

"That will be 156 pesos, miss," the driver called from the front as he drove inside the theater parking lot. I turned to face my mother and waited for her to give the man the money. As she gave him the money, I opened the door and got out.
"You're such a sexy woman. If only you did not have a child." the man chuckled. I furiously turned around but the man then drove away leaving me and my mother. That stupid low life pig.
"Did you heard him?" I asked furiously.
"Yes I did Kevin." she replied calmly.
"How can you let him say that!"
"He drove away son. What was I suppose to do?" she replied with a tone of frustration.
"I don't know. Doesn't it make you angry how he just called you sexy in front of your own child?"
"Honey. You are just six. There are a lot of things in this world that we can't stop. Some people are just immature and cruel enough to say such a thing. Others aren't. The point is, you can't stop someone from speaking their mind. Yes it is rude what he told me and how he called me that in front of you. Just forget about it. It's not like I'm going to divorce your father just for that man. He's ugly anyway," she chuckled. I folded my arms across my chest angrily and cursed that man with every curse word I knew in my mind.
"I guess you do have a point." I said angrily. She then kneeled down and hugged me.
"You know i love you and your father. You think some ugly taxi driver is going to separate me from your father?" she asked.
"He might." I responded. She then laughed and smiled.
"In his dreams I might but in reality I sure as hell won't," she grinned. I then smiled and looked at her with amusement and then laughed. Silly me. Father is way better than that scum bag. He doesn't have a chance with mother. A poor taxi driver and the wife of a rich chemist? That will just be desperate. Something that my mother isn't.
"Let's get inside. It's pretty hot out. There is cold A/C in the theater. That's why I bought us jackets. It gets so cold in the middle of the movie. Come on." my mother said. We entered the doors of the theater and were greeted by the noise of people talking, kids playing and babies crying. My mother then grabbed my hand and lead us to the snack bar and began ordering my and her favorite snack. Cherry ICE-E with Skittles inside.
As my mother began paying the cashier, I noticed how people were staring at us. Some were whispering to each other and giggling. I glared at them and it seems like they have noticed what I was doing since they all just turned to face each other and began to talk in regular voices again. Idiots.
"Mom, why do people stare at us?" I asked her as we were entering the movie. The lights were still on and commercials were playing on the screen. We walked to the back row and sat. My mother then settled in and sighed.
"Kevin, some people are just stubborn and consider theirselves as perfect. They believe that anybody who dresses or acts differently makes them a freak. So they criticize the 'freaks' and believe they are imperfect." she said in a calm steady tone. I replied with an awkward 'Oh' and turned to face the commercials.
A few moments later, I started to feel kind of weird inside. My head began to hurt and my stomach felt a bit empty. Assuming that I was hungry, I grabbed my ICE-E and popped open the lid as I reached for my skittles. I grabbed the edge of the bag and ripped it open to begin pouring the sweet colorful candy inside the ICE-E.
Suddenly, a great amount of pain filled my head causing me to flinch and drop the snack. I placed my hands on my head and began to cry because of the agonizing pain. My mother quickly grabbed my arms and began asking me what's wrong. Her voice just made my ears ring loudly causing me to scream. She screamed what I thought was to call an ambulance. More screaming and crying poured out from my tiny body. My eyes were closed tightly but I noticed how my vision began to get blurry as tears ran down my eyes. I stood up to try to run to the exit to get out but then a wave of dizziness hit me causing me to fall down and scream more. My ears began to ring more loudly causing me to clench them and squeeze them tightly. Weakness began to fill my body, making me stop screaming and squeezing. I then stopped crying and began to feel sleepy. Everything seemed to spin in my head as I began to give in to the sleepiness. Next thing I knew, I was asleep.
******Writers Note******
I know it is short. My mind has been blank lately due to my stupid asthma and allergies. But don't worry. I'll have more later. Also, be prepared for the new story I am currently writing also! It is called, 'The Four Helbums'! It's about one family of quadruplets who are part Vampire, Werewolf, Witch/ Wizard, and Human. That's all I can advise at the moment. Sorry! I can tell you their name though. The 1st child is Vladimir Helbum, the 2nd child is October Helbum, the 3rd child is Esmeralda Helbum, and last but not least, the 4th and final child is Alexander Helbum. That's it for now. Have a great day!
