It is midnight where the moon is at its peak. In a small room where a young girl was resting, sleeping with heavy breath and large grains of sweat started to slide on her face. She squirmed as if she was trying to escape from being held. While squirming she groaned like she's in pain. Tears started to crawl down her cheeks. With a final jerk her eyes opened and immediately rose in a sitting position.

She's trying to catch her breath while trailing her finger on her red hair as red as blood. Her skin started to look pale and she felt her hand shaking.

*clang clang clang*

A loud metallic ringing sound was making a noise outside the room where she slept. The noise are making her head ache like it's been stabbed by hundred needles. The noise came closer and it stopped just when it reached the door. For a few seconds of silence, a knock was heard.

*tok tok tok*

She didn't answer instead she just stayed silent on her bed wondering who might it be. The girl stared at the door, her eyes showed curiosity.

Then a young girl around eighteen years old wearing a pale green dress that has been dirtied and a bit torn around the hem of the dress appeared. Her hair was laid down in a messy fall like it has not been combed for a very long time.

She entered and walked towards the small table in the room and placed the small tray of bread and water that she was holding.

"Food"  the girl on the bed thought. Her stomach rumbled as the sight of food. She felt like she haven't eaten for days.

*clank clank*

There is a noise everytime she steps her left foot. The girl on the bed noticed that the girl is shackled. She started to feel anxious as to what this place is and on what purpose she is being held in a room full of lighted candles.

The girl in shackles took a secretive glance to the other girl and the girl on the bed noticed her.

Such sorrowful eyes.

Eyes full of pain and sadness. They looked at each other for a brief moment until her shackles is being pulled back to the door. Her face stars to show fear as she is forcefully dragged back.

Help me!

Just by looking at her, she knew that the girl is in trouble and is in need of help.

The strange girl started to scream telling the ones behind the door to stop and let her go. The girl who was on the bed felt her heart is being squeezed so hard. She felt the adrenaline as she hesitated to go after her or just stay bahind and keep herself safe.

I can't just leave her like that. Not in times like this when she's being forced. She thought.

Without any delay she immediately stood up and ran towards her. She reaches to her hand as she ran hoping that the girl will be able to grab her. But no, the girl was pulled back forcefully by someone on the other side of the door.

She can't reach her. She can't make it in time, she's gone. She couldn't make it. But she made a glimpse of a hand, it is dark and wrinkled and having such long pointy nails.

What was that? She started to shake and she started to feel fear. What is this place?

Briar

Briar.

Briar.

I need you, Briar.

It is always those six words. Always. It is like a voice of a crying woman.

Those words keep on playing in her mind.

Everytime she think of nothing, those words comes flooding.  It's like she is chained to those words, like she's connected to something.

Throughout the time that she remembered staying in this dimed room she feels empty. Like a jar without water.

She haven't even seen a ray of sunlight since the day she woke up in this room. Only candles and torches are being lighted.

She can't even hear the footsteps outside nor feel any breeze coming in, if there's any. But there are times that she can hear voices and soft footsteps, sometimes howling of wolves or painful screams. She gets the feeling that this is not a safe place to be in. That she needs to get out of here before anything happens to her. No matter what.

But what will I do once I get out of here? Where will I go? I don't even know a single soul aside from myself and that girl. She thought.

She stood up, putting aside the excess hair that is covering her face. She looks like a mess right now. The color of her dress is slowly fading and it haven't been washed for ages.

Checking every corner of the room hoping to find clues or passages that might be hidden. Well, it's not that easy because of the candles that was placed near the walls. But she didn't mind any of them, though she almost burned her dress as she surveyed the room, roaming around checking and trying to remember how she got here.

She searched every nook and cranny in this four walled room. With all her hard work she couldn't find anything.
