Scratches

You're thankfull that your classes today were mostly lectures. Fantasising about the hot blonde vampire kind of distracted you, but since your professors wrote the most important stuff down you were able to get some reasonable notes taken.
You kill time doing homework and playing video games at your apartment until it's time to head over to Giles's and meet up with everyone. You're feeling kind of nervous, partly because you're completely over your head with this demon stuff and partly because Spike might be there. I've got to admit, I've got a massive crush on the guy, er- vampire.
You lock the door to your apartment and head down the stairs. Man, my legs better look nice after having to go down four flights of stairs every day.
As you head out the door, you see someone familiar heading your way.
"Spike?"
"Oh, just thought I'd swing by and make sure you make it over safely. Wouldn't want any demons sacrificing you unbidden."
You smile a bit at that. He thought about me enough to escort me to Giles's? No- it must just be because he was itching for a fight yesterday. Probably thinks I might be attacked on the way... Still, I surely don't mind walking with him.
"Thank you for escorting me." You reply, walking just a bit behind him, then disappointedly realizing that his coat covers his ass too well.
Spike replies with a sort of grunt that you assume means "you're welcome" and you two walk the rest of the way over in relative silence while you try not to get caught staring. A few times, you almost swear you see a smirk on his face.

---

You sit and take in everything while everyone else discusses the next move.
"There's got to be some way we can find out who they'll go after next" Xander says.
"Yeah, let's just go asking around 'Hey are you a virgin?' on a college campus. I'm sure everyone will answer honestly." Spike patronizes.
"How about we use (y/n) as bait." The brunette girl, who was introduced to you as Anya, exclaims. You're beginning to think that you really don't like her too much.
Buffy jumps up, "actually... that might work. They've been going after students on campus so how about we lure them out with her. We can all wait in the bushes in the clearing. I think she was their goal that night we were attacked anyway, they should recognize her."
"Are you sure this is safe?" You ask kind of worridly, glancing around.
Giles turns to you "As much as I don't like this idea, Buffy has a point. This will most likely work."
You sigh, "as long as you've got my back, I guess I'll go with this. At least this way I'll be somewhat useful. When are we doing this?"
"Tonight." Buffy and Giles say in unison.

You sit in the clearing where you were attacked last night, awkwardly drumming your hands on your knees. If these vampires could hurry up and attack me that'd be great. I'd like to sleep eventually.
Another half an hour passes. Maybe they've given up on hunting me. They could be going after someone else right now. You think as you lean back and look at the stars.
A few more minutes pass when you hear something, a rustling in the bushes and suddenly someone's crossbow has launched a wooden stake by you. Following the whirr of it you see a gang of about eight vampires what is the name for a group of vampires? one of them already dusted, another you recognize from the night before. Maybe not the time for curiousity, run! you think, getting up and sprinting towards the bushes where you know your newfound friends are hiding in wait. You forget how fast vampires are and are knocked down by a swipe at you, dealing a few scratches to your right arm in the process. "Ah, fuck!" You yell, clutching your arm. Goddamn that stings.
You look up to see Willow running towards you. The rest of the group locked in combat with the vampires, dusting them easily. She helps you up and turns to everyone else "I think this is the last of their group."
"We've just got to make sure they don't leave" Buffy says while delivering a roundhouse kick to one of the few vampires remaining.

Leave they did not, every vampire was successfully staked and taken down in a matter of minutes. Willow checks out your scratches, "They aren't too deep so you should be okay with just some band-aids."

"Thanks Willow. I've got some at home, I'll patch up when I get there." You look over to see Spike staring at your scratches.
"Um... I guess I'll head out now. Thanks for saving me." You say hesitantly before walking off.
"See you in class tomorrow!" Willow yells.

You get about a fourth of the way home before you feel like someone is following you. You turn around and nearly right behind you is Spike.
"Oh! My god. You scared me. How are you so quiet?"
"Vampire thing" he explains "listen, I'm gonna be blunt here. You're quite literally a bleedin' virgin, I'm a vampire. Can I?"
You pause, "are... are you asking if you can lick my cuts?" you flush a bit at the thought of his mouth on you.
"Don't make it weird, luv. I haven't had human blood in a while is all."
Luv? You feel kind of sympathetic. He is a vampire after all. Drinking animal blood is probably like eating tofu all the time. "I guess... but don't make my cuts worse... a-and stop when I tell you to."
He smerks at you in reply and moves you up against the building you were walking by, taking your upper arm in his mouth. Oh my god this is kind of awkward. I hope I'm not blushing. Can he tell how into this I am? This is just my arm and I'm a puddle. Wow do I have a crush on him.  You think while staring at the ground. You decide to risk a glance at him and see that he's staring right at you the whole time, his mouth locked on your arm, tongue lapping at your wounds. Immediately you look away, certain that if you weren't blushing before you are now. Ok he definitely knows I'm turned on by this now. You continue to stare at the ground awkwardly until he stops after what feels simultaneously like forever and not long enough.
He leans towards you, so close that your cheeks are nearly touching, and whispers in your ear "thanks pet, I'll see you around." As he leans back he bites his lip and winks, walking off the way he came.
I'm never going to be able to think again. You continue walking towards your apartment. I better have the best dreams ever tonight.
