Crystal's POV

"I never knew you had a boyfriend", Chris says as he holds my pone in his hands.
I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. I grab my phone from him and turn the screen towards me to see what he was talking about. It was a picture of me on Shawn's back, standing under the big mirror. I chuckle, "that's not my boyfriend. He's just a close friend. What about you? Did you ever build up the courage to ask out that girl you told me about?"
A smirk takes over my face, "yes I did. And that girl has now been my girlfriend for 3 months"
My jaw drops, "a girl was willing to stay with you for that long? How much are you paying her to do it?"
He laughs and lightly punches my arm. My phone starts ringing in his hand and he gives it to me.
Call from: Dani👯💯❤️
I answer the phone and bring it to my ear, gesturing for Chris to leave the room
"Hey Dani!"
"CRYSTAL!!! I MISS YOU"
I chuckle at how loud she was speaking, "I miss you more! How's New York?"
"It's great. My cousins and I are getting ready to go to Times Square. How's Maryland?"
"It's great. I've mostly just been catching up with my brother and dad"
"Ooh! Is Chris still as hot as I remember?"
I groan and lean my head back. Dania has had a crush on my brother ever since we were in 5th grade and he was in seventh.
"So is that a 'no'?" She asks, regarding my groan
"I'm not answering you."
"Ugh fine. I have to go now, but I'll talk to you later"
"Okay. Send hella pics!"
She laughs and hangs up, after promising to send me pictures.
I decide to call Shawn. He picks up on the second ring
"CRYSTAL", he yells, almost causing me to drop my phone
"SHAWN!"
"I MISS YOU"
"I MISS YOU MORE"
"HOW'S MARYLAND"
"ITS GREAT! I SHOULD STOP YELLING THOUGH BECAUSE IM PRETTY SURE MY DAD IS SLEEPING"
"HE WAS SLEEPING. AND SO WAS I UNTIL YOU STARTED YELLING", yelled Chris from his bedroom. I apologize and go back to my phone call with Shawn.
"So how's your vacation going?", I ask Shawn
"It's great actually. My friend Ian is visiting from Canada"
"That's nice"
"Yeah, and your mom was with us for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday"
"Aw. That was sweet of you guys"
He chuckles, "can you FaceTime?"
"I mean I can. But I look like shit"
"I highly doubt that"
We switch to FaceTime, and I smile when Shawn's face shows up on my screen. He's lying down in bed, a small smile on his face
"Told you I look like shit"
He shakes his head, "you look adorable"
I look down to hide my red face, Shawn seemed to always have that effect on me
"Crystal?", Shawn asks, bringing my attention back to him
I lift my head back up, "yes, Shawn?"
"When you get back from Maryland, I want to take you out on a date. Is that okay?"
I heart flutters and the butterflies in my stomach multiply. "Of course. I'd love to"
"Okay. It's getting late"
"Yeah. Goodnight Shawn"
"Goodnight, beautiful"
