(Alex's POV)

I reached the Doncaster market and looked around, it was a small place with shops built parallel to each other , most of the shops were closed except the cafes that must have just been opened.I just wanted a small part time job,just to fill up the alone free time that I have.

 I looked around pulling my coat closer and putting my hands in my jeans pockets,a cafe at the end of the market caught my eye, it was a two floor building,a board said ,' CAFE COFFEE DAY '. Looking at it I already saw people rushing in for their morning coffees, so i concluded that it must be quite popular and may pay well. I walked into the shop , the smell of fresh coffee filled my nostrils. I took in the fresh smell and walked to the counter. 

"Umm hey , i was...." I started but was cut off by a rather eccentric girl with brown curls. "OOh your new here i recommend u our always special, raspberry cheese cake or our special choco chip mocha oh its my all time fav...." this time i cut her off by saying," actually i was here to ask for job positions?" she stopped and looked at me with a wide smile which never seemed to leave her face. 'Really???" she said seeming to be a little more excited than she already was , and to be honest it scared me ,"Yeah?" i said hesitantly.

 "OMG!! finally some girl with me , u and me r gonna be best of friends!!!" she said jumping up and down , then she took my hand and rushed me into some office. There sat a middle aged woman with blonde hair , she looked up and gave us a smile and said , "So your here for the job application right??" she asked looking me up and down , i nodded , her smile widened and she said,"you've got the job , you'll join from tomorrow, be here by 8am sharp" I couldn't believe it she just gave me the job without even asking any questions , but nonetheless  i was happy , i walked out a super excited girl on my side , "U GOT IT!!!" she squealed , "I know right?" i said a smile taking over my expressions. "We're gonna be best friends , yay , we could hangout , watch movies , drool over guys...." she said jumping around. "But, i don't even know your name yet" i said a smirk on my face. The turned a O shape on her face , then she held out her hand and said," i'm Kayla" i smiled and shook her hand saying,"I'm Alex". 

She said she had an hour of break before more 2hrs of work. So I decided to stay and talk to her. Turns out this girl is kinda cool and the best part is that we have the same hobbies and behavior her being more jumpy , i mean way more jumpy.

"Bahbye i'll see ya tomorrow , maybe i'll text or call tonight" she said as she ran back in the cafe to get   back to work. I turned to go a smile on my face , my first day here and i already made a friend , good going Alex , good going , mentally patting my back.
